We went to this restaurant hoping there will be some vegetarian malaysian food. Was pleasantly surprised when we were shown a vegetarian and a vegan menu. The staff were knowledgable about the differences and were willing to make suggestions. We had Tofu Goreng,Assam Curry and mixed spices curry, rice, fresh coconuts and dessert called goreng pisang. It was a enjoyable lunch

Whether two or twenty people, this is a great place to eat a variety of Malaysian food. Roti canal, chicken satay, egg plant fries are just three of my faves. The have a great tasting menu between 3 and 6 pm for 15 dollars. There are four restaurants in town so check one out closest to you.

Lovely, small restaurant in the main restaurant drag. We got there early after a long walk in Stanley Park. The waitresses (only one of whom was actually Malaysian) were welcoming and very efficient. The food was very good and authentic although served up a little too quickly for our liking - we weren't in a hurry. If you want a... More

To be honest, I did not really know Malaysian cuisine until I came here. With Thai food being one of my favourites, I thought I would probably enjoy this too. What an introduction. The food was spectacular! I had a seafood main with mango and many herbs and spices - it was cooked to perfection and packed with flavour. I... More

This place is very cramped. There are too many tables to make for a very comfortable meal. It is not a good place for anyone too portly. Nor would a wheelchair work, though everything is level entry. Other than that poor ambience, the food was spicy and fresh. The service was very prompt too. We had the appetizer sampler and... More

Delicious and unique! We had the "perfect lunch" which was the beef curry, a mixed vegetable dish, and ginger fish... All wonderful! Also ordered the mouthwatering eggplant fries and finished with the banana dessert. Highly recommend!

Service was fair. Food decent, but overpriced. We tried a variety of menu items. Restaurant was crowded and noisy. Many other better options in the area.

This restaurant had excellent, authentic Malaysian dishes and the menu has pictures & descriptions. The service is top notch - very friendly & helpful. Fun place to eat - highly recommended!! Hint: get the pineapple fried rice & the - 10 vegetable dish - so good!! And try the fried banana desert with ice cream. Enjoy

Vancouver is fortunate to have such a diverse city and the restaurants are a great way to experience that diversity. It was the first time our girls got to try Malayasian food and it ended up being their favorite restaurants on our trip. Plus, it is right near one of my favorite works of public art I have ever seen.

Service was awesome. Had a large party and the waiter worked it like a pro. Food was really good. Everyone enjoyed it. Small but quaint.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
