Stopped in to try this cuisine as the restaurant was recommended by staff at our hotel. I had the chicken satay and a delicious Papaya and Pineapple Green Asian Salad which I highly recommend. Lovely combination of fruit and veggies with a lemongrass vinaigrette. Just what I needed after a couple days of fish and chips.

Appropriate decor with high ceiling hence medium noise level. Wide selection of well prepared Malaysian dishes. Very good service.

I really enjoyed the food, great flavour and cooked really well. Glad I didn't ask for spicy. The staff were nice but quick to leave the table. It's a great place for catching up with friends if you don't like being interrupted or you want a quiet lunch.

My wife and I decided to take a walk down Denman St. After a bike ride in Stanley Park. It's lined with plenty of places to eat. The pictures outside Banana Leaf led us in. We must of been hungry because we ordered the 9 course meal that we shared; I must say it was a lot of food for... More

Ate here on a Sunday as everywhere else was packed. Food and service were OK. Had plenty of other better Malaysian meals. Lots of other better options nearby. Would not return.

First time we had come across this chain and we were pleasantly surprised. It was near our Hotel on Broadway and we had booked our table,a good move as it was Labour day weekend and it was busy. We both enjoyed our choices, especially me, I was based in Malaysia for 3 years many moons ago. So many choices, however I had... More

We found the staff friendly but my dish the Nasi Goring"Malays's signature dish" was mostly rice and flavourless, it was far from authentic, In Malaysia it always comes with heaps of tasty morsels embedded in the rice but digging down anything but rice was spartan and there was no egg on top! but I was told that they don't do... walking back from walking around the stanley park loop, found this place and always being interested in new cuisine, thought it was worth a stop. Happy we did. Different spices and can't say i can describe what exactly i ate, but just spicy enough to keep my tongue happy.

Came here for dinner with my partner. As we were looking at the menu outside, a group walked out of the restaurant and told us it was delicious and we had to try it! We shared the appetiser platter as well as the Singapore Laksa and the Nasi Lemak. Everything was delicious and the favorites were the the satay sauce,... More

We went to this restaurant hoping there will be some vegetarian malaysian food. Was pleasantly surprised when we were shown a vegetarian and a vegan menu. The staff were knowledgable about the differences and were willing to make suggestions. We had Tofu Goreng,Assam Curry and mixed spices curry, rice, fresh coconuts and dessert called goreng pisang. It was a enjoyable lunch

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
