This place is very cramped. There are too many tables to make for a very comfortable meal. It is not a good place for anyone too portly. Nor would a wheelchair work, though everything is level entry. Other than that poor ambience, the food was spicy and fresh. The service was very prompt too. We had the appetizer sampler and... More

Delicious and unique! We had the "perfect lunch" which was the beef curry, a mixed vegetable dish, and ginger fish... All wonderful! Also ordered the mouthwatering eggplant fries and finished with the banana dessert. Highly recommend!

Service was fair. Food decent, but overpriced. We tried a variety of menu items. Restaurant was crowded and noisy. Many other better options in the area.

This restaurant had excellent, authentic Malaysian dishes and the menu has pictures & descriptions. The service is top notch - very friendly & helpful. Fun place to eat - highly recommended!! Hint: get the pineapple fried rice & the - 10 vegetable dish - so good!! And try the fried banana desert with ice cream. Enjoy

Vancouver is fortunate to have such a diverse city and the restaurants are a great way to experience that diversity. It was the first time our girls got to try Malayasian food and it ended up being their favorite restaurants on our trip. Plus, it is right near one of my favorite works of public art I have ever seen.

Service was awesome. Had a large party and the waiter worked it like a pro. Food was really good. Everyone enjoyed it. Small but quaint.

I ate there three times and loved it. The food is great, the prices are normal and the service is kind and speedy. I'd love to go back.

Went on an Alaska cruise ending in Vancouver, and this was one of the places recommended by our hotel. Wow! We had one of the sampler dinners, and I swear every bite of every dish was awesome. My husband is from Indonesia, and the food is very similar. This is seriously the best meal we've ever had! You don't have... More

We were staying in the English Bay Area and wanted to eat close to our hotel and went here due to good trip advisor reviews. We were certainly not disappointed. We opted for the $30, 9 course tasting menu. What an explosion of flavours. The place is small with not many tables so best to book. Highly recommended.

When visiting Vancouver we kept walking past this small restaurant and on our last afternoon we stopped in for dinner. We tried the 7 course tasting menu for $20. We enjoyed all of the dishes, especially the salad, lettuce wraps, and the coconut curry. We ran out of time for dessert and took it to go to eat at the... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
