The food here is very pricey but it was also absolutely wonderful. The food was absolutely on point with absolutely great flavours. The wine served went beautifully and was absolutely delicious. Also the serving staff were friendly and efficient.

This is a pricy place, but you get your money's worth. Good service, good food and good view. A memorable experience, for that special occasion.

We don't usually go to hotel restaurants and know how long this restaurant has been around(30 plus years). We were pleasantly surprised by the food and atmosphere. Everything we ate was sustainable and delicious. The salad had so many unique flavours with a light dressing. Staff was very attentive to our needs and we were lucky enough to get a... More

Stayed at the PanPacific before cruise with kids(6&9), our waiter Michael is very attentive, friendly with the kids. The fix menu is a good value, and they just made some plain pasta for kids. We got nice window table and the view is breathtaking, even same view from hotel room, it's still nice to enjoy some good food with the... More

Five Sails has delicious food and sincerely friendly and helpful staff, but the view made the evening especially memorable. It seems that every table has a view, but being right by the window is best (so request a window seat when you call for a reservation). From the restaurant's huge windows, you can see Stanley Park, all of the harbor,... More

Every dish here is unique in its own special way. Most dishes felt a bit French-Canadian, but the food is great. The staff are very kind and friendly. However, it should be noted that this restaurant is fairly expensive. It's a great place to go with family or with a special someone :)

Modern menu and everything delicious. Don't miss it. Each dish is unusual in one way. Four of us all enjoyed everything.

We recently had a 19 day holiday in Canada and Alaska and were in Vancouver for three nights. We were so impressed with our first visit to the Five Sails that we booked for the second night, fearing it would not live up to our first experience. Perfect again! We almost talked ourselves out of spending the third night there.... More

From amuse bouche to dessert, each course was delicious and beautifully presented. Of course, none of it would have been possible without the guidance of our amazing waiter, Michael. His suggestions were right on, and his help with dietary restrictions were so helpful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
