Very quiet and was sort of hoping for a lively place but I guess Monday nights are t the busiest so just had a drink. Menu looked good but quite expensive for eating at the bar. Probably a return visit with better half. Decent glass of BC Riesling.

Right from when you enter, this restaurant feels good. We sat in the darkened bar area listening to live piano and song while we waited for an outside table. You can't book outside, but it is worth waiting for on a warm night. And the bar was very pleasant too. We shared both a petit filet and the lamb rack,... More

This is our second time to this restaurant and will not be our last. It is a pleasant venue and within walking distance of downtown Vancouver. I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection! If you are not a steak eater, you have no idea how hard this is to achieve. My husband had the salmon and truly... More

This was our best meal in Vancouver, we only popped in for a drink and quick steak as it was our first night but ended up staying for hours and having a three course dinner and lovely wine. Great that they do smaller steaks for lighter appetites, the filet was wonderful and great selection of sides. Service was excellent and... More

Nice decor though a bit dark. Upscale seating. We had the Hai Tuna appetizer which was very tasty. I ordered the bone-in New York steak. It was very expensive ($79) but very unremarkable. The meat was tough as if it was never aged. The sides were ok and again very expensive. Closed with a delicious and light Key Lime pie.... More

I love this restaurant! It was a favourite during the 2010 Olympics for entertaining our high end customers. It was always and event, always something happening! Returning 6 years later I wasn't sure what to expect. I needed a private space for 12 for business! And frankly I was a little worried about the quality and cost and whether the... More

The best steak I've had in a longtime. Appetizers were the cheese toast and the oysters, very good. For a salad entree we had the caesar and wedge, both of which were very well done. The Filet Mignon with a side of french fried potatoes, and fresh asparagus.....yeah we did and it was delicious. I'll definitely will visit again when... More

Great steak house with amazing a la carte sides. Upper scale fine dining at its best with very knowledgeable wait staff.

We chose this steakhouse based on the tripadvisor rating as we were eager to have a good piece of beef. The location is nothing special. The restaurant (on a Friday night) had live-music (it can be a bit loud depending on where you sit). As often in Northern America it is quite dark inside but « chic ».. Two-person tables... More

I've been twice in the last month and both times the steaks were good but the salads and sides were consistently poor. I had wedge salad with thousand island and a friend had the same with blue cheese. My entire plate and wedge was covered in awful thousand dressing. My friends was the same worth a blue cheese mayonnaise. Our... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
