Entered the restaurant right off the street and the tables both inside and outside were full. The restaurant was very busy and we were seated close to the kitchen and the toilets within 10 minutes. Then we waited and waited and waited....no water, no hello nothing. Then after about 10 minutes no less than 3 members of staff approached the... More

My sister and I were in town for a conference and heard about Coast from the concierge of our hotel. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by Oscar. He let us know about the selection of oysters, so we ordered a dozen Kusshi and a bottle of wine. Our glasses were never empty, and of the other... More

This is a 3rd visit in recent years for COAST as it has become a required stop when in Vancouver. The food is outstanding (lobster grilled cheese was a delightful surprise) and the service superb. Fresh seafood a highlight. Avoid happy hour times if you don't appreciate loud noise and ask for a table upstairs.

We sat on their patio on Saturday night and had a very enjoyable meal. My husband is on a very strict, boring diet. We had some special requests to accommodate his needs and were hoping they would be able to deliver. Our server understood and brought out a beautiful, appetizing meal that was allowed within his restrictions that he thoroughly... More

Always a favorite! Great ambiance, great decor, fresh seafood and a decent selection of wines. If you are coming here to impress someone do order the seafood tower! It is impressive and fun to share.

Great location - ate outside on a beautiful night. The waitress was fabulous - provided some great recommendations. I went with the Sablefish. Very nice, buttery fish - and from BC. The way the sides that came with it were described made it sound like a really filling meal but when I received the food it was really just the... More

We visited Coast for Saturday dinner. We had not booked and had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. It was a busy night and the service was a little slow, but not enough to spoil the evening. We only ordered mains, salmon and tuna dishes. The meals were very good, tasty and not excessive. The atmosphere was buzzing,... More

Today I sat at the bar and enjoyed some delicious crab cakes, definitely the best in Vancouver. The service is what really left an impression though, Won was so kind and friendly, we chatted the whole time and I cant wait to come back!

Was in at Coast the other week and had a great time. Stopped in for a late drink and was blown away by the fantastic bartenders; Dalen, Oscar, Gavin(fabulous beard) and Don. Gavin made me the best Basil Hayden Old Fashioned I've ever had! Keep it up boys!

The food here is superb and Megan, our waitress, made it so much fun. Quite the character she is. Love it! We had the Hot Seafood Platter and it was more than enough for 2 people. Yum! Would definitely return.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
