We heard good things about this restaurant, but due to the popularity we were unable to get a table and had to book for the next day. But the wait was definitely worth it. The ambiance in the restaurant was amazing, such an excellent place with stunning views. We were lucky enough to get the table next to the harbour.... More

We went on the recommendation of our hotel and although we could not get a reservation, we were very happy having dinner on the bar/pub side of the restaurant. The view is good and the atmosphere was relaxed while having the same menu. The fish was fresh and delicious and not over-sauced or coated, as can often be the case.... More

Had a late lunch here and it was good. Could not get outside seat without waiting for a while but got an inside seat straight away. Server ok, food came quickly and was very good. Overall a good experience but I imagine it must be extremely busy when the restaurant is full. Go and try this place

We were staying in the hotel across the road for 4 nights and we had made of point of trying out Cardero's before we left. The place looks great from the outside and very inviting. We took a chance and turned up at 7pm without a reservation and were told we could be seated on the patio immediately. It had... More

They have one of the best sauces for raw oysters, better than Rodneys, all depends on taste buds, Cardero salads are good Ambiance, location and drinks.

We decided at the last minute to have dinner at Cardero's on a beautiful evening in Vancouver. The restaurant was fully booked but we were welcome to sit in the pub side with a full menu. Glad we did, we got there early enough to have a seat looking out over the harbour. We ordered several smaller meals to share... More

Had to go back after initially visiting it for the first time 10 years previously. In October, we ate outside. It has heaters to ensure the comfort of the guests. The food, the location and the view are amazing.

We had dinner here on our last night in Vancouver. We were gutted we couldn't get a table outside, however, have to say that there is a really great atmosphere inside if you can't get out on the veranda. Really good quality food and varied menu. Great drinks menu! I would definitely go here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.... More

The West Hotel recommended the restaurant so we went. We loved it so much that we went back again the day after. Rustic with a great view and great service. Creative and drinks too.

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
