Group of five - one unused to Indian food and now a convert. Big portions and very varied dishes available

Restaurant is very conveniently located on the heart of the English bay beach right on Davie street; parking is a little tricky but few spots are available in the parking garage in the back alley. Once you dig down, the choice of food is fairly decent and the price is slightly expensive (~$15 an entré). Food taste is pretty good... More

Was downtown for the festival of lights and stumbled upon this place for my pre game fireworks meal. The butter chicken was amazing, where I had to order more. Highly recommend

My husband, 3 year old and baby visited 2 times in 5 days. It was a great experience both times! Delicious, affordable and fun. I would recommend this restaurant for sure!

Being Indian, Eating Indian food in a restaurant is fairly common activity for us. While visiting Vancouver we decided to give this place a try after a long day in Stanley park. The owner was welcoming and very helpful. He helped us get a quick order ahead to get the hungry toddler started. He was also nice enough to tell... More

Friendly staff, quick service, and good food in a very convenient location near English Bay and transit. Very affordable, but not cheap seeming. While I'm not an expert on Indian food (I ordered the very un-Indian Tandoori Caesar salad), my wife's meal was very delicious and smelled wonderfully spiced. Well worth your time.

I live in the West End and have often thought of trying this venue. Well, my friend and I finally went. At first we thought it was closed as it was so dark. It was only 1700! but the sign was outside. No, they said we are open and we were shown to our booth. The food was delicious and... More

We went to the ginger garlic because of the reviews here on TA and were absolutely rewarded with great food and good service. My wife had the butter chicken, I had a fantastic Palak Paneer with one of the best Paneers I ever had. Great Choice!

The service was super attentive and the food was delicious. We loved the mango lassi and all of the food. The server went the extra mile to accommodate my grandmother.

We just had dinner at this restaurant this evening. We found it because it was across the street from our hotel, the Best Western Sands. Benji was our friendly and kind server. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, and service was prompt. The booths were comfy to sit in, and they had a high chair for our... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
