Yes I did get the ice-cream. We were tempted with the sample of sea salt caramel chocolate - very yummy!! So we purchased a box of chocolates to give to friends we were staying with. Not cheap - but well worth the price!!

OK, OK, yes, Rogers does always have great sugar-free chocolates, which I usually love. But this visit, I indulged and had all the gooey, chocolaty goodies that they cram into their display cases. I think I liked the chocolate-raspberry truffles the most. OMG...they are to die for! The truffles are expensive here, but well worth the cost, Gotta love them!... More

If you go, try the truffles ... I'm not a big truffle fan but I loved these. I don't know what these other candies are called - I included a picture of the caramel (and they have different flavors) but they are delicious! I am told they are unique to here.

Unfortunately I may have been spoiled by my visit to Rodgers Chocolates in Whistler, Canada. This store was very small and had only a small selection of individual chocolates.

We ordered a double scoop of vanilla and birthday cake, both excellent! Friendly service as well. Grab a scoop and enjoy by the pier.

My wife has the sweet tooth. Bought her a box of assorted caramel chocolates from Roger's as part of my Valentine's gifts. To my surprise it was not one of her favourite. I guess her chocolate preference is just like my coffee preference...to the picky side. I did try one and find it on the sweet side...not really enjoy it...but... More

It's chocolate...what could you possibly say about it except yummy! Roger's Chocolates never disappoints. It was Easter and they had their special chocolate crème filled eggs (only available around Easter). The salted caramel chocolates were supreme. The ingredient list is small and no preservatives. Definitely recommend visiting the store for their delicious chocolates.

Yum! Huge cream chocolates but the best is the almond brittle. We used the discount ticket from the Tast Vancouver Food Tour.

I cant seem to go by this location without making a stop every time I'm in Vancouver which is often. Although not as quaint as it Victoria flagship store the staff is very friendly and the smell amazing!

We popped in here to buy some souvenirs to bring back to the UK and the choice was much wider than we anticipated. And we've had great feedback from those we spoiled, especially the popcorn.

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
