Trees Organic Coffee offers the most delicious cheese cakes. They offer light lunches as well. The atmosphere is comfortable yet warm. I can't wait to return for another variety of cheese cake.

We went for coffee and a quick lunch. The quiche and sandwiches are very good but the cheesecake is the best.

My aging buddies and I visit this cafe at least once a week. We are five or six and must get in early to grab the only large table. However the coffee and goodies are excellent. The price is higher than many other cafes but it has a charm all of its own. Metered Parking is on the street right... More

If it's coffee or a slice of cake you're after, then this a great spot to pluck away at your MacBook for a while as you sip some great brew. On the other hand, even though the sandwich selection is plentiful, they are little on the bready side with not much filling. A single slice of ham or roast beef... More

Friends took me to the Arbutus iteration of this local chain. It is renowned for its cheesecakes, which are delicious. Coffee is excellent. Other cabinet food and soups also available. All seem a little expensive, even for Vancouver. Arbutus cafe is not spacious, but comfortable with one biggish table. Staff very good.

To die for cheese cake of many different flavours! Their coffee and tea are also good--not so much the mocha. But go for the cheesecake

Cheesecake looks good! This place is ok, but every time I come here the tables arts dirty, covered in crumbs. Staff seem withdrawn rather than enthusiastic. I still enjoyed my latte however

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
