The Stackhouse is a basic hamburger house. Metered street parking is available (be careful to park upon the sidewalk as there is no parking on Granville Street). My lunch consisted of a burger and large onions.

The burger was well prepared and tasty (I got the Kobe). I suppose some might complain that the 5.5 oz patties are too small, however, I thought it was a perfect portion size. Filling, but not stuffing. The fries were pretty good, too. The service I received on my recent (Saturday night) visit was exceptional. My server went out of... More

I have been going here for years, nowhere can you get a deal on quality like this. It's a Granville street miracle, why waste money anywhere else? This place is classy and artistic and chic place and I just love it. The chicken burger is to die for!

2 stars despite the food being great. We waited 45 minutes after ordering without the waitress checking on us. There were only a couple other groups seated so we were sure why it was taking so long. We finally asked and we were told by the chef that the ticket was never posted. We then waited 15 more minutes while... More

Really nice little burger bar. Service is friendly, the burgers are great, but the star for me was the truffle gravy poutine. Really great place.

We allowed decent time as we had a late night airplane ride home.We had a party of six and ordered a large amount of food. Several appetizers, mains, sides and drinks. We did wait patiently, as they seemed understaffed, but that was ok. At that point we had the time. Most of the food was quite nice.I disagree with others about... More

This place has YUMMY burgers! You better go hungry. I ate way too much. Good variety of food. Friendly staff. If you eat here and leave disappointed, then there is something wrong with your taste buds. Take it from a burger fanatic.

When I return to Stackhouse, I think I'll have a larger poutine as I thought it was fantastic. The Stockhouse burger I had was okay but the burger patty was a bit dry, perhaps it was slightly overcooked. Will have to try the Kobe burger next time.

I have NO idea why more people don't know about this place. They need to do a better job at advertising (social media maybe), because everyone needs to try this place! We shared the lamb burger and crab burger (SO FRESH) along with the poutine and some shrimp dish my boyfriend had. It was exactly what we were looking for... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
