Always one of highlights of our trips to Canda, as we live in the UK, is our meals out at The Keg. They cater for allergys very well, making sure we feel safe eating out. Better then any restaurant chain we have ever visited. Steaks are cooked perfectly and this evening was no exception. Succulent, tender and accompanided by perfectly... More

Ever since I can remember, The Keg (& Cleaver!) was the place to go on the West Coast for a steak and astonishingly large salad bar. I was lucky enough to return to YVR a while ago and am thrilled to be able to confirm that the steaks are, if anything, even better than those of the 1980s and 1990s!... More

I ate at Milestones twice over the last 2 weeks and ordered 10 oz. prime rib with potato and onion rings. I ordered the same tonight at The Keg. The price of $29 was the same but prime rib was more tender at the Keg. The plate was bigger so the onion rings were not jammed in with the potato.... More

We come here after arriving in Vancouver from Victoria. I opted for the Alaskan King crab and steak and it was as good as I remember from before. Steak cooked medium and very tasty followed by Alaskan King crab with melted butter on the side yum yum. I do hope my photos do these meals justice . Would definitely recommend... More

Came for a business lunch and got a small table against the window on the lower floor. Good place to sit, with bar atmosphere making for a great lunch. Service was fast and friendly, although it did take a little bit to track down and pay the bill so as to get back to the office. Food was good and... More

We were recommended to try The Keg and we are very pleased we took the advice. We enjoyed the lobster starter and the fillet steaks were some of the best we have eaten. It's a busy restaurant but it was not sufficiently noisy to be a problem. We will certainly go back when in Vancouver again.

I have always wanted to eat at the Keg in my own city so finally I got the chance in Vancouver. The steak was out of this world. The accompanying potato and salad were also delicious! There was a phalanx of stylish, model-like greeters grouped at the door all welcoming us in unison which seemed a bit odd. The decor... More

There are a number of these restaurants around Vancouver. The one myself and my wife enjoyed was close to our hotel. Food and service are top notch. There is just no way to fault this place. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in good food, music and a great selection of beverages (and I mean beers). To add to... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
