Had a great first dinner at Vancouver at Forage. The food was so fresh and tasty! Would have liked full plates vs sharing but it doesn't take away from the fact that the food is amazing!!

This is a cracking restaurant with a great, relaxed and positive feel. The principle of sharing plates of food with your companions is a great one and gives you the opportunity to try lots of different foods. The menu is brilliantly balanced between sea, soil and land. So, for vegetarians of pescetarian, you won't be restricted to just one or... More

I finally had a change to visit Vancouver as a traveller as I am always there on business with my ergonomic company. Finally a wonderful restaurant on Robson no less; right beside our super Listel Hotel. Food was terrific flavours and wonderful to look at; real art. The wines are all local and the wait staff very educated about the... More

Ate here two years ago, and decided to revisit. Still offering the "small plates good for sharing" concept, with an emphasis on local food and creative interpretations of some classics. We shared the grilled kale salad and th pan bread for starters. The salad was amazing - smokey and generously portioned, with just the right amount of dressing. The bread... More

We decided to try out this place as we had read about it. Our first impression was not too great as the music was blaring when we got in. (Either the place got noisier over the course of the evening or the music was turned down but it didn't seem to be too bad when we left.) However, we both... More

We went to this place on a whim as it was just down the street from our hotel and I am glad we did. This was the best breakfast I've had in a long time, locally sourced food, great service and a really good feel to the room.

Looked busy so a reservation is necessary and breakfasts are really good too. Again, I did not eat there but many of my tour group did and really enjoyed the food and vibe.

A hangout area for young people Living downtown. Serves mainly small dishes and brunch. Do not expect fancy meals. Meal Portion is large and if you are a small eater, can consider sharing. The scones I had was good with lemon butter cream. Two is too much for myself. Budget travellers can share. Very friendly atmosphere except that it can... More

Our first night in Vancouver and we had a terrific dining experience. The charcuterie plate was delicious as was the kale salad. My salmon was a bit salty (hence 4 instead of 5 stars) but my husband's duck was superb. Portions were huge, I wished we had ordered one less dish. Our server was excellent, well informed and charming.

Chef Whittaker’s vision features dishes that are unpretentious and innovatively prepared using products sourced from local and organic farmers, fishers and producers whenever possible. These combine for a menu featuring snacks such as “crackling & popcorn”; a variety of creative “boards” and “irons” to share; tasty “plates” to nosh on together or enjoy solo as a main; and desserts for a sweet (and a bit savoury) finish.
