Authentic Chinese cuisine, in large proportions, at a terrific price!....how can you go wrong? The food was absolutely delicious and the fresh baking is to die for! Highly recommend this place for great value!
Step off of the gritty sidewalk of Main, and into the peaceful and spotless interior of the Boss, your server will be at your table lightning quick, this restaurant is a good choice for Cruise ship passengers, as it is within walking distance of the...More
This is a great place for a quick lunch if you are around Chinatown. Generally it gets quite busy around lunch time for a sit-down lunch, and there may be a short wait, but there are lots of tables and good turnover. I've found the...More
Needed a last minute birthday cake and The Boss was very accommodating. Bought a 8" fresh fruit cake. It was decorated beautifully and they added Happy Birthday for me. It was plenty big enough for 10 people. You will find their cakes light and delicious.
I often drop by here for the bakery out front which carries a good selection of Chinese buns and cakes. As close to Hong King style as I have found in Vancouver. Recently had breakfast in the restaurant in the back and it was fine....More
I've reviewed their other Boss branch in Metrotown Burnaby, but this one's even better with a full bakery therefore you can have fresh Hong Kong style bakes - chicken pie, curry puff, swiss rolls with different fillings, bo-law bao, pork buns....

We had lunch here while visiting Vancouver for the Chinese New Year celebration. Even though we arrived about 1:30 pm, there was still a queue but we were seated in a clean booth within 10 minutes. The restaurant has a bakery in front with a...More
This place is just round the corner from the frenzied New Town bakery. Same kind of deal - bakery in the front, restaurant in the back. Did not eat in the restaurant but I was quite satisfied with my pastry items including a couple of...More
With the recent exodus of massive new building projects hitting the neighbourhood, Chinatown; which has always been one of the city's most vibrant areas; is even more buzzing and buoyant than ever before. Playing host to some of the city's best pan-Asian cuisine, from fusion food to traditional home-cooking, Chinatown has remained faithful to its roots as a space which clambers with shop signs and welcomes
diners to the table. More that that, it has a hip experimental vibe to it, with trendy pop-ups and catchall market shops. The biggest of Canada's Chinatowns, it is also home to an expansive Chinese garden whose manicured grounds inspire and delight, its ponds and pagodas drawing walkers in for an stroll. Take in the red streetlights, the playful awnings, and the upbeat air that suffuse this area.
