Good location in Athletes Village along False Creek. We were on a 40 km bike ride and looking for something cold to drink and a few snacks. This place fit the bill and then we were on our way.

Been travelling Canada for 2 weeks and can safely say that, as a family, this is the best meal we've had. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere fun. We went to the one in Lonsdale quay, the place is done out in an interesting style! Everyone (4 people) loved their food. We just had mains, and I had the... More

Eight of us enjoyed brunch at the Tap & Barrel, located above False Creek. Pleasant water views on a sunny August Sunday morning complemented our meals. Most enjoyed variations of Eggs Benedict, either pulled pork or salmon. Coffee choices were limited, but my mug was refilled (free) several times. North Americans expect this... while Aussies who forget this tradition always... More

When I first saw a PB&J burger on the menu I was quite turned off as I love peanut butter and didn't want to ruin it. However, one night when I wasn't very hungry was the night I tried it and loved it. Chipotle peanut butter and pulled bacon jam made a much better burger than I had imagined. To... More

What really stood out about Tap and Barrel was the view from the top patio. What a nice and relaxing place to watch the people, dogs and boats passing by. Hubby enjoyed the beer selection, although I wasn't too impressed with the small cocktail selection. Food was good, nothing too stand-out, but solid and worth a trip for drinks and... More

Whilst the young lady who served us was good the food that she brought to us was typical bar food but poorly prepared as well.

This restaurant rant has a beautiful outdoor patio with a panaramic view of Downtown Vancouver and the N After previous horrible experiences I didn't want to go back but out of town visitors wanted to check it out. There was about a 20 minute wait when we arrived which was puzzling as there were lots of empty tables. Unfortunately, we... More

We were down in the False Creek area playing Pokemon Go with the kids. Stopped there for a washroom break when we first arrived, and they graciously allowed us to use them. Decided that they deserved our business as a result, so we went back there at lunch time. I had the fish and chips and they were delish! The... More

I organized my sister's 30th birthday party there in April and the service was exceptional. They weren't able to guarantee us the patio due to weather but said they'd do their best. We ended up at the best table on the patio exactly where we said we hoped to be and didn't have to wait long at all, even though... More

My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant recently. We got there around 11:30 on a week-day and immediately got a table outside on the patio. It was lovely sitting on the patio and our server (Katherine) was very friendly and fast. We were a little underwhelmed with the food, however. The tuna rice bowl was nice but fairly... More

Staying in Southeast False Creek

Neighborhood Profile
Southeast False Creek
Developed alongside the Vancouver Olympic Village for the 2010 Winter Games, a past fraught with hardship has recently been overcome, and builders are changing the landscape on the ground of Southeast False Creek at a rapid pace. With waterfront dining, ultra-modern facilities, sports stadiums, and a load of greenery, parks, and rest spots built into the ever-changing infrastructure, it's a fast-paced and mutable spot to see Vancouver taking shape and making history. It is especially popular for the casual sportsman, as the Seawall on the water makes for one of the most scenic locations for cycling or roller-blading, jogging or strolling.
