Recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Little hole in the wall place - sooo good. We ordered the original however they have many different add ons and sauces. Definitely recommend a visit here if you are in Vancouver.

This was my first time having poutine, so I had nothing to compare with. However, this was one of the most satisfying meals I have had in recent history. On bad thing was that I did not order more.

The brown gravy is the key! We ordered ours with no dipping sauce. We figured we try this thing out straight from the cook. Excellent service, a hard-working family that always has a smile on her face. The line was prettyBusy yet she kept her cool then it looks like her husband came in to help. The cheese was a... More

Came here twice for Small Packet of Poutine (5cad nett), takeaway. I love how the cheese curds melt, and the gravy is good. Gravy does become a bit too thick as you make your way to the bottom of the bowl though. I would come here again for Poutine.

Best way to describe this place is as my wife said....BEST poutine ever! Ordered a large and was a good size to share. Many options to add on but we just went with the standard and would go back if they weren't closed Mondays.

After celebrating a 50th birthday, 4 of us ladies visited Fritz for what we were promised was excellent poutine. The place is very small, just a couple benches to sit on and no tables but the poutine is oh-so-very-good! They use a very good quality of curds and the gravy is peppery, the fries themselves are crisp and fresh. Try... More

I had extra gravy and cheese curds on mines and I recommend it if you love lots of the good stuff! The fries were perfect, fresh and pipping hot. The gravy was flavorful and added the right amount of saltiness and the cheese, it was amazing, got sooooo gooey and melty from the gravy and fries. Highly recommend this place!

My grandson wanted to try poutine. I thought it sounded strange. But,boy was I wrong!!! It was delicious. The place is small but, the owners made us feel so welcome & their service to us was excellent. If your in Vancouver, BC please enjoy Fritz's.

however it was not on my taste. Maybe I am not into poutine, nor great eater of pomme frites...but the potatoes, I wanted dryer, not so soggy. Also the gravy had an after taste. Based on my friend it was a great poutine...so if you are into this...go for it!

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
