I ordered a veggie Pizza here. Learnt it comes with a lovely green salad. The taste of pizza and salad were very good. Natural flavours. One pizza is good for two. The only problem is the pizza doesn't stay at the base and topping falls off. They need a thicker/ crunchier base. The staff is extremely friendly and warm. Card... More

Luxys was a staple for us when we first moved to Vancouver in 1995. Saw it through a major renovation and the food quantity and quality remained high for a number of years. About 3 years ago things had gone down hill to the point we stopped going. So when we noticed it was under new ownership it was time... More

We were attracted to this restaurant because of it's decor -- cozy trattoria with wood paneling and old world touches. Service was friendly, but the food was a disappointment -- pasta overcooked, salad limp, sauvignon blanc sweet. Nice people, but half the things on the menu seem not to really be on offer, and what you get is frankly not... More

You will not be disappointed in the food or service. Both are superb! . The portions are generous. Be sure to ask for a box. New ownership- enthusiastic staff.

Good food and great people! Service took time but only because the place was hopping! The wait staff and chefs were incredibly busy! Ceasar's salad and Antipasto were both delish. We recommend the Sonora Ranch Cabernet. I don't even like red wine and this was delightful!

So glad we ignored our usual criteria of not being first customers in. We sat by the front that opened into the street as the sun flooded in. Had the spaghetti bolognese and the linguine di mare. Both came with a Caesar salad and garlic bread. Fresh Parmesan was generously grated from a big piece of the original wheel of... More

Even though this place is under new management, we definitely would be coming back for sure. The Spaghetti Bolognese was perfect and totally hit the spot, OMG my wife ate the whole thing she savoured everything! This place brings back memories when my wife and I were dating back then.

It’s a Small place with a rustic feel, Cozy. Wide range of Pasta to choose from, But there are better Italian Restaurants out there. Tried the baked Tortellini, Linguini al Salmon and the trsuted Spaghetti Bolognese. The food is ok, It’s good but not spectacular. I would return here if I’m really hungry. Value wise, it’s pretty affordable.

So my brother comes by and he is hungry! I'm with my friend J and we decide to meet at Luxy. I've been here before years ago. It was a good deal then. Well it's a good deal now. We all had a pasta dish. Start with a salad that comes with the dish. They brought by garlic toast -... More

I tend to be very fussy when having Italian food and being in Vancouver for the first time our party went to Cafe Luxy with no preconceived ideas. What a wonderful surprise when we found out that the pasta is made fresh. The Bolognese sauce was outstanding and portion size huge. A nice glass of wine and espresso made correctly... More

Staying in Davie Village

Neighborhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
