Walking through the area in from the U.S. Found this little bakery and (although my sister couldn't eat ANYTHING in the entire store due to her nut allergy and the bakeries inability to separate out their nut/non-nut items) the rest of our group found the vittles AB-FAB and scrumptious :) Kelli

I ordered the chocolate passionfruit cake after a friend was raving about it. I picked it up a few days later and bakery itself is bright and beautiful. It was fairly busy, but not too packed, and the tables were spacious and the room wasn't too loud. All the food looked great and fresh, and the cakes were beautifully decorated.... More

I was lucky to have an Americano and Apple turnovers for my light lunch before doctor appointment, I love it! I wish I could stay longer to order more next time ;)

I was surprised that the café closed at 6pm on a Friday night. The staff let us stay past that though but I felt guilty. I have become addicted to their lemon tarts and coffee. The calories are worth it.

Trafiq is a small street cafe on Main. It features sandwiches & soup, baked goods and espresso. You can get a bite, a sweet and coffee for less than $15 average. Very casual - order at the counter & then find a seat. I highly recommend it for a quick bite when cruising Main Street. One of my favourite sandwiches... More

The staff had trouble following my sandwich order - it came grilled and with lettuce, neither of which were requested. The quiche was horrific, more like custard on a crust. The desserts looked really tasty, and it definitely looked like people were enjoying them. I would come back for dessert, but nothing else.

I came up from Seattle for my sister's birthday party to help out. Everyone was busy prepping and running about town to pick up food that no one prepared lunch! I was tasked to get sandwiches at Trafiq on Main! Quick and Easy -- the only thing that slowed me down was trying to decide from they lovely sandwiches and... More

Group of 8 shared a chocolate cake. Friendly owners were attentive. Great cake. Surprisingly good decaf Americano, strong. Our party enjoyed their lattes and white hot chocolates.

i love the sandwiches here at Trafiq, they are huge and tasty. The cakes are delicious, my favourite is the Homage to Earl grey, you really just need a small slice because it's very rich. It's so good that I feel like going to get a slice as I type this! Also, every time I've been, all the employees were... More

Staying in South Main

Neighborhood Profile
South Main
South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new pop-up and foodie trend, SoMa is on the rise.
