While on vacation we rented a condo down the street from Novo. What a fantastic place to stumble upon! The thin crust pizza is the best I have ever tasted. The beet salad was to die for and its no surprise they won an award for their meatballs. The tiramisu was phenomenal- you must have it. I can't wait to... More

Our server was very nice and accommodated our request to speed things up since we were going to a movie next door. We started with the meatballs, they were really tender and juicy but lacked a bit of flavour. Then we shared the fresh made pasta: truffled funghi misti (mushrooms, herbs & truffle oil) and a wood fire "Burrata" pizza.... More

We have dined here a few times after movies at 5th Ave. and while it can tend to get busy in spurts (due to an onslaught of movie theatre patrons), they do a pretty good job at turning out nice salads, tasty pizzas and satisfying pastas. We are happy to have a restaurant like this in the neighbourhood!

Situated right next door to the Fifth Avenue Cinema in Vancouver B.C.( they always have the best indie films in town) Novo is a great spot for lunch or dinner either before or after a show. The food is always perfectly prepared ( the pizza is to die for) and well priced. One of my favourites is the beet and goat... More

We enjoyed a post-movie dinner at Novo using a voucher for a 5-course meal. Our server let us know that they had just been super busy, but it did not show at all in his service or in the quality of the food. He was very helpful with our wine selection, and with advice on pairings with each course. Everything... More

Novo Pizzeria and Wine Bar serves the best pizza in Vancouver, no doubt! Not only is their pizza great, they have amazing service, as they are friendly to all of their customers and the environment is very welcoming. It's not quite casual, but very family-friendly and a great space for any occasion. We love Novo!

Novo is a traditional Italian restaurant with the finest ingredients from the Mediterranean! Menu is a tad bit on the expensive side BUT it's true when they say you get what you pay for! The food is definitely top notch 5 star! My wife and another couple made a reservation for the first time at this restaurant for Valentine's Day... More

A pre movie visit for an hour and fifteen so not rushed. Ordered the panzanella salad. A smallish portion arrived on one half of the plate and a streak of pleasing basil pesto was on the other. Pleasing to the eye and raised my hopes. Alas, I looked and tasted diligently for the crispy pancetta and did not find any.... More

We booked on line. Were welcomed and seated in a bustling restaurant. Serge Fabrizio, a good server on all accounts, welcomed us, made suggestions and even went back to the bar to ensure we got the wine that we wanted. The pasta with mushrooms and pancetta was spectacular. It was a clear sauce and the pasta itself was a treat.... More

Staying in South Granville

Neighborhood Profile
South Granville
The neighbourhood closest to the airport, a generous mix of locals and tourists populate the area. The blend has made it a go-to spot to find an eclectic collection of entertainment, from theatres and cinemas, to antique stores and last-minute kitsch souvenir shops. It gives off a transient vibe, and is one of the more higgledy-piggledy areas in terms of what you'll find, making it a fun area to explore and map out, all while taking in the hectic atmosphere of people coming and going, while others look for the best ways to spend their last few hours in the city.
