This is Japanese fast food focusing on Rice Bowl dishes. Service was fast, but food was ordinary, much like the fast food served in food court, Taste was also ordinary, unlike Vancouver where there is a lot of Japanese eateries serving authentic Japanese dishes. Not worth the trip.

First time visiting here today. I'm only in Vancouver for a month but had spotted this place pretty early on my trip whilst driving past. Today was a day off and I gave in to temptation. I was greeted by a very friendly waitress who took my order after serving a prior customer. I wanted the grilled chicken but was,... More

we decided to try this restaurant out because the pictures posted in the window looked really good & price seemed good for the area (avg dish $10.00). i'm quite surprised this restaurant has such good reviews. i was quite disappointed with my kimchee pork don - not much flavour, rice was hard (seemed like leftover rice) & the kicker was...just... Last week I had a terrible stomach flu. After the Canada / Mexico game I went to the "Guyudon restaurant" on Robson street and the following conversation took place. Me: Hi. One bowl of rice please. Lady: No. You can't just have rice. Me: Why is that? Lady: You can't just order rice, you have to order something else to... More

I thought this restaurant was great! We had the Ramen Soup and it was delicious! It had pork, noodles, a couple of slices of fish cakes, veggies and a wonderful miso base. The young woman serving us was very friendly and attentive. The soup was hot, so was the green tea, so either they improved their service (from what others... More

We went in on a cold day for lunch and were seated very quickly.Service was great and with a smile. There were 4 of us and I ordered a Bibimbap which came quickly and was served with an egg cooked onsen style whilst my partner ordered a chicken bowl .Both were delicious and great value for the price. Would recommend... More

Amazed this place stays open! More Korean than Japanese. They were out of practically everything, and soup and even tea was barely lukewarm.

Went in on a cold cold day and ordered the Udon noodle soup with short ribs and vegetables....spicy. It was spicy and very tasty. Hot, and large portion for $9. Can't go wrong. I will come back again for lunch.

As a result, it draws a diverse crowd, and the people-watching along this famous walking thoroughfare is a primary attraction.
