Went for happy hour and sat outside. One of the main reasons to go for happy hour is for cheaper eats and drinks. Very limited eats and only small martini, small beer or wine on special. Hostess was friendly and wine was ok. Had fish and chips and scallops risotto. Small portions of fish and scallops and lack of major... More

I went with a group of friends to Luke's after seeing a play at the Stanley. We ate on their outdoor patio which was great on a pleasant Sunday evening....although there were flies hovering. This restaurant had been recommended to us by friends who eat here often. Some might find the service slow but we were having a relaxed evening... More

Stopped here with grandma and my daughter for a quick drink/snack. The service was slow, we almost walked out. Finally got service. Waitress slopped water on our table like she was throwing the glasses. Finally got wine and the glass was filthy with big dry gobs of who knows what on it. We sent it back and watched her pour... Went here with friends before the Billy Elliot musical. One of us needed to call the waitress after 10 minutes of waiting: understaffed perhaps. Then, my salmon croquettes arrived after literally two minute after ordering. They were deep brown in colour. I tried one and found the outside burned and the inside raw. All of them were like that. Also,... More

A popular place for people in a hurry for a drink or a quick meal. They do a lot of pre theatre meals. We sat on the patio, the service was great but the flies hovering above were a negative. The food was a notch above pub food. A place for when you are in a hurry.

We jumped in for a quick bite late lunch 2 servers for the entire place, which had about 50 patrons, slow and painful to watch, the two servers were also acting as bartenders, that was fun to watch. Ordered and got our food and it wasn't prepared as asked, two cooks in the kitchen with 20 tickets in the window.... More

We booked at Luke's for the small discount for theatre goers, and were very pleased. They were on top of our schedule, got meals out on time and everything was tasty. We really enjoyed the Tuna Tartare Stack, Mediterranean plate, the beef and quinoa meatballs, and roasted Brussel's sprouts. I would go back.

The positive was the wait staff. Bevan was our waiter. Very helpful and friendly. No complaints about the food, but was just average. We were on a side trip from Seattle and ate here twice. Once for lunch and again for dinner the next night. Convenient from Kits neighborhood where we were staying.

I had a late lunch, breakfast served all day. Wonderful selection from breakfast to fairly nice dinner items. They had a bar area as well that was quite nice. Beer selection of 8-10 local beers on tap. Truly a great selection, not all the same type of beer. All have a description on the menu. Looked to have a nice... More

We had dinner before the theatre, and enjoyed every moment. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and the atmosphere was fun & lively

Staying in South Granville

Neighborhood Profile
South Granville
The neighbourhood closest to the airport, a generous mix of locals and tourists populate the area. The blend has made it a go-to spot to find an eclectic collection of entertainment, from theatres and cinemas, to antique stores and last-minute kitsch souvenir shops. It gives off a transient vibe, and is one of the more higgledy-piggledy areas in terms of what you'll find, making it a fun area to explore and map out, all while taking in the hectic atmosphere of people coming and going, while others look for the best ways to spend their last few hours in the city.
