We are in the area with our Airbnb and this is a oke option to eat around in the neighborhood. Staff is very warm and welcome the food is average for a rather high prices. The chicken hot wings where basically just hot and didn't have much taste. The veggie fritters, didn't have much taste either. Main course; burger: nice,... More

I love this place! Been consistently partaking in the wares at Biercraft for over 4 years (local nieghbourhood pub near my residence) and it has always been great! From the ambience, to the food quality and variety of food, to the vast drink menu, there is something for everyone. The service staff are fantastic and friendly and are quite attentive... More

Great tapas and excellent selection of beer, and wine if you like. Service was excellent. I especially liked not being rushed despite the growing line to get a table. The only downside is the tapas portions are very large, more appetizer size, so for two wanting to try 4 items is too much food. Glad I was walking home. All... More

Hubby and I have been making this our first stop whenever we are in Vancouver for years. It NEVER is a disappointment and well worth the 9 hour drive for the BEST mussels! We got our usual window table with delightful view of Commercial Drive along great service. Had a lovely Savion Blanc and hubby had a very cold beer... More

We went here for a quick beer while we waited for Vij's to open and had a great experience on the patio, good service and great recommendations. We came back a few days later and had some food inside and a few drinks. I hate to rate down on service, because, to be completely fair, it was only one server.... More

We stumbled on BierCraft by accident. We'd been walking and needed a little refreshment. We were met with a friendly greeting and big smile. Jen, our bartender, was sweet, professional, and knowledgeable. We quickly found that we had a lot in common. I tried the Strawberry beer; it was delicious but a little sweet so Jen suggested a combination. It... More

Hipster atmosphere with friendly service, good food and wide selection of microbrews. Also can make a wicked cocktail. Prices are reasonable for Vancouver, metered street parking right in front and great crowd.

Loved the atmosphere, relaxed and not too loud. Excellent selection of regional beer. Brassneck was our favourite. The selection of pacific mussels was impressive-both the Normande and New Orleans were delish. Prices are very reasonable.

We're in the midst of a six-day stay in Vancouver, and so far we've found no food below admirable, But this place was stratospheric! We were sitting and thinking about how much annual income we'd need to retire here! In need of some light dinner repast, we popped over--again!--to Cambie Avenue and got a table in this good location, They... More

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighborhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
