The location may not be the best in town but this cute cafe serves the most delicious food. Lunch or brunch, you can't go wrong here. Their eggs Benny is so unique and delicious, you will go back.

We were going to Gastown and our hotel clerk gave us a couple recommendations for breakfast and this was one of them. Both were on the same street, but the first had a wait list, so we checked out Acme Café and decided to stay. (Sorry, first restaurant...we didn't tell them to take our name off their list!) The neighborhood... More

Great locals spot for yummy breakfast and just try to not be tempted by the baked goodies! They now do breakfast all day so we had breakfast for an early dinner :)

They serve Breakfast all day and I was so happy to have it for lunch. This unassuming place was recommended by a local and boy were they right. The neighborhood was a little sketchy but no-one bothered us at all. This place is first come first serve and the line at noon was long but went quickly. It seem to... More

My mom and I found this place by accident and we were not dissappointed. Definitely one of the best breakfasts I've ever had and the coffee was great too (nothing worse than bad coffee at breakfast!) Service was great too and they had some special on where if you come by before a certain time, you get two meals for... More

My boyfriend and I sat down here (recommended in Lonely Planet) for a quick breakfast before heading to the airport. Their operation is great - booth seating, with a small bar as well, and an open kitchen so you can watch them operate. The service was great (a bit slow here and there, but nothing to fuss about) and the... More

Excellent salad, plenty of menu choices, in a developing area. Friendly prompt staff. Had a beer + salad for lunch, perfect combination.

Wow, for 40 bucks , this fed 4 of us to the max Food- 5 stars great presentation and flavor!!... More

We found this place looking for somewhere to eat before the Adele show at Roger's Arena. The area is very undesirable in my opinion with a make shift town across the street for the homeless and addicts all around etc. but this place is LOVELY! Amazing chicken dinner. Great mac and cheese. The desserts looked amazing but we were so... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
