We went in weekend at 4 PM, happy hour, and have a few appetisers and wine. The atmosphere was great, the service fine, the food and wine excellent, and the price not bad. What more can you ask for?

My husband loves bone marrow. I had the blue cheese salad wedge which was wonderful. It was a fun special place. We also enjoyed the meat and cheese platter. Salmon toasties were fun too. The server was fun and efficient.

The Flying Pig at Yaletown, was a fun restaurant for our entire family. The atmosphere was casual and the food was amazing. Very large portions, so you may want to share dishes or order from the appetizer menu. There is a large variety of beers and wines available. The slice of cake was so large that 4 of us shared... We ate here on day one of our trip to Vancouver. We walked in very tired and dazed having walked around all day plus we were incredibly jet lagged but the staff were patient, helpful, chatty and funny. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. Great atmosphere too! Thank you all.

This is a very busy little place. People were lined up out the door from the beginning until we left. The food was good and the service excellent. I thought our server was perhaps a little too personal with his comments but he was simply trying to be friendly and humorous. Their beer list contains an excellent choice of local... More

Great food and specialty cocktails in a fun environment and neighborhood. This was our last meal in Vancouver and was the perfect end to our trip. Highly recommended!

Ate at this restaurant on a Tuesday evening about 8pm. Of all of the restaurants we walked by either near or on Hamilton Street in Yaletown, this appeared to be the busiest. Good sign we thought, and we were right. We were seated without a reservation in about two minutes. The server was very friendly and attentive. The menu was... More

Have been to this restaurant many times over the last few years--with friends, family, on dates--and it is always great. The staff are friendly and fun, they have a good wine list, but most of all, the food is always great. Start with the tomato and bocconcini salad and follow it up with either the short ribs or the halibut--both... More

My husband and I ate dinner here and loved it. Our waitress was exceptional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Nice wine list and selections by the glass. Very lively, but not noisy. I had a platter of salmons which was an appetizer and added a side of brussel sprouts. The vegetable was not great, rather bland. My husband loved his short ribs... More

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
