We found this place by chance on our weekend trip to Vancouver over Christmas. The two places we really wanted to try in Chinatown were closed for Christmas Eve (unheard of here in Texas). First, this place is cash only. Thankfully, there is an ATM...More

On my recent trip to Vancouver, I was actually with family and as a result I not visited Chinatown on a tourist trek, but I actually ate somewhere in the area. Not Kent's like the last time, as this time, I was on a mission...More

There are a handful of bakeries in Chinatown and I spent a couple early mornings walking around trying fresh apple turnovers - Maxim's was the best, hands down.

I am so glad this place still is open in Chinatown. The bakery items are really good and fresh. This time I choose the ham and green onion buns as easy lunch items for tomorrow. You can order customized cakes in advance.

Great place to pick-up some cheap eats. They are a variety of baked goods and at the current exchange rate the prices are great. They only take cash

We've been ordering birthday cakes from Maxim for years now. They usually does a really amazing job in decorating and personalizing the cakes. A few weeks ago, I had to place the order for a cake for my Dad's birthday over the phone as I...More

Maxim's consistently offers a great selection of Chinese pastries in a clean setting. My brother ordered a Black Forest like fresh fruit cake for our dad's birthday. The cake was beautifully decorated with bright coloured fruit (kiwi, strawberries, peach, and maraschino cherries). Lovely presentation is...More
