I attended a wedding where Chronic Tacos were being served - There was pork and chicken and while I am more of a fish taco kind of gal, the chicken tacos were pretty damn good. i really liked that you could customize & build your own. Other's must have really liked them, because I am pretty sure they were all... More

This was in walking distance from our stay on 11th Avenue and was an affordable surprise. The food was very good and atmosphere is casual.

We used to go here, but never again. I ordered a vegetarian burrito but it cost extra money to have vegetables in it! I don't eat cheese or sour cream. It basically cost almost $10 for a burrito that was only beans and rice. They used to include vegetables in the price. There are so many better options in Vancouver.

Build your own taco, taco salad bowl or burrito. Choice of beans; choice of meat and ample veggies to top your beans, meat and rice. A big meal for well under $10 with leftovers for a snack or lunch the next day. Wish there crispy corn tacos; wheat flour only.

A friend of mine actually recommended this place to me, saying the food was pretty good and that the burritos were a really good size. In fact, he and I once went in together. I have decided to try the place a few times before giving it a review just to determine if my experiences were consistent. Timing is everything.... More

This is my second time eating here and it was fab. I ordered the burrito and it was HUGE and tasty. I had half of it for lunch the next day. The staff is sweet and helpful, service is quick, and atmosphere is laid back. I will return.

this little whole in the wall of a fast food joint unexpectedly offered us a good lunch when we were in the area looking for Mexican food. I had the shrimp tacos, which were garlicky and fresh, and my partner had a big burrito which was tasty and filling. The service was not fast, but the food was reasonably priced... More

If you're hankering for a burrito of awesomeness then this is the place to go! Similar to Subway in that you order your filling as you go, will different toppings. There are options such as fish and shrimp that require being cooked on the spot- the fish burrito would be my recommendation. If you like things a little in the... More

Obviously this is a chain and it feels like one when your in here, it's basically subway for burritos with the added bonus of a bar. The service was fast and the food good quality and huge portions. I'd home back for a quick lunch/dinner again.

Bring your earplugs to drown out the 10,000 decibel sports TVs if you are that desperate that you actually think that this is Mexican food and are absolutely committed to want to eat here. The staff wouldn't know a salsa from a salsify, as they look at you like they don't have a clue what you're asking for when you... More

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighborhood Profile
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
