Tired of the expensive hotel breakfasts, then try the Moonpenny. The staff was great, the coffee hot and service fast and fresh. This was a perfect quick stop on the way to the meeting.

We arrived in the city around lunch time with cold, rainy conditions. MoonPennies was a haven with lovely soups, salads, and sandwiches. Good service and very close to the Marriott.

We had an excellent breakfast here for two people for less than the price for one at our hotel. The cooked breakfasts are prepared while you wait and taste all the better for that. Service was very pleasant. We sat in window seats and watched the world go by as we were eating.

We like to eat out and found this delightful little restaurant just around the corner from our hotel. It had a good selection on the menu and the breakfast was superb and plenty of it. The price was very reasonable too.

We stopped in for lunch. Girl at the counter didn't seem to understand English well at all. Asked 'what?' Many times and we practically had to grab the specials menu to show her what we were ordering. Sandwiches were good on ciabatta bread but Caesar salad plain at best and $3 for bland shaved chicken added. Wouldn't go back.

Having seen good reviews we eagerly headed to Moonpennies for Sunday breakfast. I'm glad we read ahead to find that you order at the counter because the only message to do that is at the counter. Menus are also at the counter. The one staff person cleaning tables offered no guidance. Our breakfast were pretty brand; eggs in omelette not... More

Large cafe with windows overlooking the street. Well-trained and cheerful barista. Great selection of sweets. Withing a 10 minute of the Westin and near the waterfront.

We tried this place on a Sunday morning for breakfast with 14 of us - they surely went out of their way to cater for the unexpectedly large number, the food was great and service too was excellent.

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
