While the prices were high, it is expected given the cost-of-living in Vancouver (from what I hear and read). The line was too the door but the store has plenty of staff and the line moves quick. Even though the prices were higher for a dessert, the gelato was really good. They have lots of flavors to choose from. The... More

Such Delicious gelato and the waffle cone is so yummy. There's lots of flavors to choose from as well. It's a great little place to stop for a sweet treat.

Amazing variety of flavors! Unique way to store each flavor separately. Sea salt caramel was delicious and should not be missed. We loved that they try to use slot of local products!

Absolutely mind blowing ice cream, too good for kids. This is as good as it gets this side of Venice. Warning: lines can be very long so bring a friend so you can chat. Prices are high but quality costs. This is the #1 best gelato in town, hands down. #2 goes to Mario's. People, watch your brain freeze. (Located... More

We lucked out walking by when the line was *only* about 20 people long. Amazing gelato. It's worth the wait :)

Delicious. We arrived first thing in the morning and there already was a sizeable lineup due to the warm weather Vancouver was experiencing in August. After tasting, I can see why the lineup will extend down the block to get some. And a helpful tip - get a cone! You get more!!

I have been twice now and have tried other places in town. This is obviously the best. I have in the past avoided the long line up but now I know why it exists. If you have the time, it is worth the wait.

The lemon sorbet was DELICIOUS. I can't have dairy and love that they have dairy free options. We went around 11am and had no wait - it was fast in and out and delicious. Would totally go back.

Check my reviews: I love gelato. And I have eaten it across the globe. Given all the accolades on the wall, I had high expectations for Bella Gelateria. I was told the line is always out the door. Thus, expectations were high. Unfortunately, the gelato did not live up to the expectations. Even worse, the long lines are not because... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
