We lucked out walking by when the line was *only* about 20 people long. Amazing gelato. It's worth the wait :)

Delicious. We arrived first thing in the morning and there already was a sizeable lineup due to the warm weather Vancouver was experiencing in August. After tasting, I can see why the lineup will extend down the block to get some. And a helpful tip - get a cone! You get more!!

I have been twice now and have tried other places in town. This is obviously the best. I have in the past avoided the long line up but now I know why it exists. If you have the time, it is worth the wait.

The lemon sorbet was DELICIOUS. I can't have dairy and love that they have dairy free options. We went around 11am and had no wait - it was fast in and out and delicious. Would totally go back.

Check my reviews: I love gelato. And I have eaten it across the globe. Given all the accolades on the wall, I had high expectations for Bella Gelateria. I was told the line is always out the door. Thus, expectations were high. Unfortunately, the gelato did not live up to the expectations. Even worse, the long lines are not because... More

Flavors are among the best I've ever tried, from Shanghai, to Florence to yes actually Vancouver Their menu is pretty good and offers you a variety of flavors you probably haven't tried before, and most of them are pretty good, due to that they allow you to try up to three of them before actually choosing the ones you want... This place is always full and you never leave disappointed, the gelato is the best I've had and they have won awards some time ago and looks like they kept up the quality since

I'm sorry to say I was disappointed. With all the awards and hype I thought it would be so much better. We went to Italy last October and it was honestly much better. The servings were rather small and the price was high. Also there was not one CHOCOLATE choice!!

We waited about 10 minutes and it was totally worth it. This place won awards in Italy and I can see why. It was very good.

We heard about this place on TA and walked over after dinner. We had three different flavors and all were excellent. Especially liked the burned sugar.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
