Great little sandwich shop in downtown Vancouver. The menu consists of 4 different sandwiches changing on a weekly basis. I had the famous Porchetta and it didn't disappoint. The pork had great flavor, and the salsa verde sauce worked perfectly on top. I could easily...More

We looked up food blogs for our Vancouver trip, and Meat & Bread was highly rated, so we thought we'd stop by for a try. It's located in the Vancouver CBD on the ground floor of what looks like an office building. We managed to...More

Visited today with my husband after long walk. Porchetta was delicious with salsa verde and lovely mustard. Shared late bottle of beer as per a previous reviewer. Highly recommend for food and value for money.

We went to the Cambie location with friends on a weekday at lunch. We didn't have any expectations except that a good pork bun was on offer. It is not a large place but it seems a lot of people take their food out, so...More

First time here. Staff was very friendly. They recommended a couple of sandwiches that we split - the Porchetta - Incredible - never had a sandwich taste like it! And the meatball - very good - more familiar. Perfect spot. I heard it's less crowded...More

We saw this place on a list of restaurants to try in Gas Town and we were not disappointed. My Fiancé and I walked by dozens of other restaurants and cafe's and decided that Meat & Bread would be our lunch stop. Their options are...More

My wife and I stopped in during a 6 hour stroll through Gastown where we munched on a bunch of different things. This was easily the best. Word of warning: they only serve lunch, so they run out of food on busy days. Hit this...More

Literally the best sandwiches. Small menu which was good. Shared the porcetta and the meatball sandwich and they were both SO good. Not cheap but worth it.

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many

the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular
worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of

Description
We make sandwiches that are high quality, of good value, and prepared with skill as well as heart. The essence of our food simple, fast, delicious is the foundation of Meat & Bread. Our first shop opened its doors in 2010 in the historic Gastown neighborhood of Vancouver, Canada, and, since then, we have opened another shop in Vancouver as well as in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighbourhood.
