This place is fantastic! It is out of the way so there is a good chance it won't be too busy and the food is as fresh as you can get. The menu is vast and each bite makes you Won(t) More.....get it?! See what I did there?! So just got there and have a great time!

Delicious food! I recommend the won ton soup and the fried noodles. Quick service and they are very accommodating.

Too bad we chose to have our special dinner delivered. If we had eaten in the restaurant we would have been able to send our dinner back. The delivery was fast but the food was pretty bad. The ginger beef was tasteless and extremely tough. The lemon chicken undercooked, had to toss it.The special fried rice was red? The pan... More

This is Szechuan at it's best. The menu is vast and the flavors are spectacular. The restaurant is quaint but I have never had to wait for a table. The kitchen is by the front door so you can see your food being prepared. My mouth waters every time I think about it and the only problem with this restaurant... More

We seriously love the food here, drove an hour from Ladner just to satisfy our craving. We ordered the delicious hot pot consisting of eggplant and deep fried tofu in garlic sauce, beef lettuce wraps, mussels in black bean sauce and white rice - everything was EXCELLENT! Don't be turned off the plain décor, very basic & cheap but clean.... More

Located on Denman just steps from Stanley Park, this place has large servings of fabulous food. We are there and the inside is pretty plain and basic but the food was spicy and tasty. I had chicken with tangerine peels. My wife had pork with Peking sauce. Both were exceptional. We did pork fried rice as well which added to... More

We almost passed on this restaurant because of other reviews. Glad we didn't! Yes, no table clothes and you had to walk up some stairs. No big deal. Food was made to order, ingredients were fresh, flavors good and service was outstanding. While there, lots of take out orders were being placed and picked up so locals like this place... More

I have eaten here many times and always enjoy their Ginger Beef. Very plain atmosphere but great food and good service.

To call it szechuan would be stretching it. Upstairs location that wasn't inviting so did takeout. Wish I'd read reviews here beforehand. Agree about lettuce wrapped duck. Wonder if food contained msg as as I've been very thirsty since. Ordered 2 other dishes with duck..1 too many for 2 people. Edible but wouldn't go back or recommend. Oh..my hotel did... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
