Just happened upon this great restaurant while walking near our hotel. It was full but we were able to sit at the bar. It was the best seat in the house as we were able to watch the chef and her team at work. They were amazing- so professional, fast and cooking delicious food. We had the French Onion Soup,... More

A continental feel that was warm and inviting. Our waitress was so good, knowledgable, pleasant and friendly. My wife and I both ordered the Brasserie Burger. They were gigantic. Even better, they were delicious. The burgers were done to perfection and the meal just hit the spot. This is a neat place and it is highly recommended.

Place is small and cozy and staff wonderful. Came here for the tartar and had 2 versions of it.. the menu one and one a bit more spicy. Both are good, but the one we enjoyed most.. the more spicy one (it's not on the menu, but we highly recommend it if you want that European tartar zing). Had the... More

A small place, the food is fresh and delicious! A different menu each day, my husband and I had separate items, and agreed that the food was the best we've had in Vancouver.

Found this place while walking along Davie. Ordered the La Brasserie burger. The truffle aioli sauce, ham, fresh veggies, and cheese topped a perfectly grilled hamburger on soft and buttery buns. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Such a great meal. Service was excellent and ambiance was relaxing. Discover it for yourself.

We had supper at La Brasserie 1091 Davie that I found on Yelp. Jan opted for the hamburger and I had of the lamb cheeks. Both were wonderful. The burger was a stack about 6" high with greens including arugula and a large amount of delicious French fried onions. I deconstructed it to a shorter stack. The greens made a... More

One of the best meals I had in Vancouver, and a really great brunch! Small, boutique restaurant with friendly staff and a nice, small space. Try the brunch poutine!

Returned this July, having happened upon this little bistro two years ago on our last visit to Vancouver. We were biding our time while our hotel got our room ready and were ravenous for a late lunch. The menu is short, but we each were happy with our selections: salad for my wife and the Brasserie Burger for me. It's... More

My husband and I tried another place only to be told that the discount coupon we had purchased was no longer valid as they had decided to close for weekend brunch. We then decided to find another place and discovered La Brasserie on Davie Street. What a delightful experience that was, welcoming and pleasant staff and excellent food and service.... More

This is a quaint place that feels like neighborhood restaurant. Food was great - both the ingredients and preparation. Service was excellent and welcoming. It is small so the menu is not extensive, but I love places like this that do not try to do too much. Since it is small, I recommend making a reservation.

Staying in Davie Village

Neighborhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
