This restaurant was highly recommended and sometimes that can lead to disappointment, but NOT in this case. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our tasting menu. We don't live in this area on the westside of Vancouver, but because we liked the food so much we will make an effort to return soon. The server we had was delightful and... More

We did the full family style menu (chef's pick) and it was wonderful. Difficult to decide what was better - the cheese souffle or the cheese plate. Risotto and the pasta dishes were awesome as you'd expect. The surprise was the tomato salad to start. In summary, all great!

Were it not for the quality of the food, this would have been a two star review. Even so, the bolognese sauce was less authentic than we were hoping, it being a dry rendition but still a nice dish. All other items we had ordered were quite good. We dined at the l'Ufficio part of La Quercia, so this may... More

We went here on someone's recommendation, and we were truly blown away. Awesome food that is prepared for you by the chef when you order the family style meal. Everything is fresh, and local if possible. It is a bit pricy, especially if you order a bottle of wine, but it is definitely worth it.

After not visiting the restaurant for a year, we went for our anniversary dinner and were so impressed by the selection of dishes and wines, the friendly service, and the cozy atmosphere. We will return again soon! Reliably excellent!

A great taste of Italian food with more to offer than just pasta and pizza. The service was very good too, good recommendations. No vegetarian options.

Fantastic service, outstanding food = our favourite spot! Not sure why I'm sharing this review as I'd hate to see too many people finding out about it!

Nice food for omnivores but limited choices for vegetarians so I dined on delicious bread, too much squid and Gorgonzola risotto.

La Quercia has become our family's favourite place for top notch Italian food in Vancouver. The tasting menu, or Family dinner, is a fantastic way to sample many different dishes in one sitting. On our recent visit, the server helped us with our wine selection, after listening to our like,s she recommended an Italian wine we never heard of and... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
