A friend and I recently had the opportunity to visit Miku. The restaurant was busy and we were seated at the bar. My friend had the 10 piece sushi platter which she enjoyed very much. We shared calamari and edame while I had a California...More

Overly Crowded, you can barely hear anything or talk to your friends without shouting. The Aburi Salmon Square is heavenly! Other menu is okay. But definitely one of the best Aburi Salmon i've ever eaten

Everything at Miku is amazing. The food is outstanding--and beautiful, but the total experience is something to be savored. The venue itself is gorgeous--beautifully decorated--with spectacular views of the waterfront. The service could not be better; our waiter was ultra-knowledgeable, and his recommendations were spot...More

Yes, surprising for North Americans. But their sushi is so good, so perfect, and so flavourful, that you don't get the wasabi paste and soya sauce to dip it in. Which made the sushi all that more amazing. The flavours were delicate, the food presented...More

First time here. Service was excellent and the restaurant had a great buzz. Ordered the Miku Zen which comes with miso soup, 4 small chef dishes and about 6 pieces of sushi. Lovely food; definitely worth going.

We got there around 3pm. Too late for lunch and too early for dinner. We were offered a snack type of menu. We ordered a Aburi Salmon Oshi Sushi roll (C$17) and a Red Wave roll (C$18). The Salmon roll was so good that we...More

There are different versions so you would need to ask a server or call ahead - but I had a sampler platter and distinctly remember none having dairy. Not the usual sushi sauces.

We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly to sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the fish, creating a new and exciting culinary experience. Miku owner Seigo Nakamura innovated the Aburi concept by crafting specialty sauces using non-traditional Japanese ingredients to pair with each type of fish. The light sear from the binchotan (Japanese bamboo charcoal) caramelizes the sauce, releasing a smoky aroma and bringing out the finest flavours in each piece of Aburi sushi. Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Fly Over Canada, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus.
