Hard to rate this place, we visited 3 times before plucking up the courage to wait for an hour for a table. The ambiance, decor and so on was good but what really makes a place is food and service. Now, the food was good, don't get me wrong, but I am not sure it was worth 3 days wait.... More

Main course is a bit sophisticated, but the waffles are wonderful, very tasty, love their mix berries compose. Worth the wait!

... this seems to have become an unwritten rule in this town. Somehow a policy of not taking reservations became synonymous with a place to be. So, you see many establishments treating us like cattle. And we go back for more. We waited for over an hour to eat! Was the food good? Yes, it was. I think so at... More

The website tells the story and it lives up to expectations in every way. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Be sure to get there for 8.30am if you don't want to queue for ages. We rocked up on day one around 10am and there was a 1hour 40 wait so returned the next day. Well worth the wait.... More

The patio is very nice (and sometimes has DJs for brunch), the staff is attentive and the food is always excellent! Prices are reasonable and their smoked tomato Caesar is the best I've had!

I think we were the oldest two people in the packed early-morning dining room, and I know we were among the happiest! We loved our mushroom dish, and the avocado toast and little mini-waffle we split were exquisite. Great coffee, superb service...one of our most memorable meals in Vancouver.

We attempted to go here on a Sunday morning and were told we'd have an hour and a half wait!! So, we came back Monday all the wiser and queued for half an hour. The breakfast is very aesthetically pleasing and tasty, the mini waffles (we just had to having read the reviews!) with lavender chocolate sauce were great and... More

I am a self confessed coffee snob and as a tourist in Vancouver I have finally found a place that makes a decent coffee. Judging by the number of customers, I think the locals have realised this as well !!

Great gourmet brunch food with a Mediterranean twist; food was spicier than expected in terms of savory dishes but all delicious. But more than the savory dishes, loved the Belgian waffles. While on the small side, it was the best handheld waffle I've ever had. The special dipping sauces were AMAZING! (Favorites were Salted caramel even though I'm usually not... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
