For the price of $19 you can have nice buffee. They have good food from starter till desert. Very tasty and a lot of choices. We love the salmon curry.

No gimmicks, straight forward cooking and all the spices. I enjoyed the indian touch to the place, same vibes as in New Delhi ...

We had a shrimp coconut curry together with a vegetable biriani together with some tandoori roti. Very tasty but if you're hungry order one or two additional dishes or dessert. Here the homemade Indian pistachio ice cream is a real good choice. The wine list is quite large with some good wines also from Europe but a Kingfisher beer is... More

We only had lunch from the menu, although they offered all you can eat buffet menu. This did not look appealing. The food was tasty and fresh. Nice setting , clean and well presented.

Went for dinner with a few colleagues. This is well done, solid, traditional 'white cloth tablecloth' Indian food. Pleasant atmosphere & attentive service. Not cheap, but reasonable. Highlights included the naan and other breads - hot & buttery, stretchy & soft. The coconut curry was delicious - we had it with prawns. The vindaloo was fiery but not painful. The... More

Very warm & friendly welcome. The menu isn't extensive but the waiters will assist with your choice of dish & will even listen to suggestions. The food is delicious & portions are generous. Considering its location in downtown Vancouver I thought the price was also very reasonable

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised after discovering Salam Bombay. It is right across the street from the Fairmont Vancouver, and within walking distance to boutiques and shops (Robson St). We were unsure as to what to choose, but our waiter took the time to ask a few questions; i.e. What we liked, how spicy, etc... My husband had... More

We had a nice curry here. Popadoms are nothing like we get in England and we didn't like them. Curries were excellent - we had a halibut coconut curry, a tandoori paneer and a spicy special recommended by our waiter. Reasonably priced.

Thank babychimp

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
