Over the years I've been here many times and every time I ask myself why. Our latest visit produced average calamari ( small portion given the cost), chicken souvlaki dinner ( same complaint) very average. Extra tsatziki $2.25 for about an ounce. The white wine was warm. At least the beer was cold and the service was fine. Actually if... More

We spotted this place while walking down Main street after a long day of sightseeing. We were drawn in by the number of people seated inside and decided to give it a try. There were several times throughout the first 30 minutes that we considered leaving. It began with the extended wait to be seated (there was no one waiting... More

It's been a decade since my last visit and when we first walked in there was a "Sunday Family Pub" atmosphere. That quickly dissipated and gave way to disappointment. When we ordered the meal I also ordered garlic bread as a side, well buttered. As it turns out the meal came with garlic bread and when I mentioned that from... More

Didn't expect the place to be that busy early on a Monday night. It was pizza night for ten bucks so I guess that draws in a few that wouldn't otherwise show up. Had been craving Greek food recently and they proffer a lot of it. Asked for the Saganaki and Roast Lamb which brings me in at about 3X... More

Well, the service is good, but the food is just plain tasteless and uninspired. The roast lamb was salty and otherwise lacking in flavour, the hummus runny and the pita breads seem like they come from a package. I keep trying this place because I like the location and the building and because it seems to survive year after year.... More

As a no nonsense "Brit" I felt quite at home in this neighbourhood "pub". The menu had a Greek feel and the food not at all bad, the service was good and attentive and value good.

Great spot for a beer and good food on trendy Main Street. We were drawn in by the amazing aroma coming from the kitchen and we weren't disappointed. Above average Pub style decore that shuns the cookie cutter style that is so common today. Very good scotch and local beer selection, and our waitress was excellent. Highly recommended.

Staying in South Main

Neighborhood Profile
South Main
South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new pop-up and foodie trend, SoMa is on the rise.
