My friend and I went for dinner, we both got the shio ramen, and found it quite delicious. Seating in the restaurant is relatively tight. But I would definitely go back if I'm around the area.

I'm a big ramen fan. Benkei is a worthwhile noodle shop. The inside is like most ramen/noodle restaurants: small-ish, wood tables and seats/benches, and a little noisy due to the size (don't plan on relaxed conversation here). The shoyu ramen was white and milky, the way it should be. The broth was unctuous and left that light fatty residue on... More

The place is nothing to rave about but the service was incredible, they apologized for the 3 minute wait before ordering and getting our food. The noodles were everything we were hoping they would be and it was... More

Benkei is a great place for a budget meal. Located on Robson Street just east of the corner of Denman, the small shop serves up hearty bowls of ramen at a decent price. They also offer 3 different types of gyoza. I had the shrimp gyoza. It was perfectly done. I had miso ramen with char siu. The broth was... More

Large bowls of delicious ramen and other noodles. Gyoza equally good, as was the service. Great value for dinner in Vancouver. We visited the location in the West End on Robson.
