When in Vancouver visiting Kissing Crows Bicycles on Main Street, my family always has lunch at Burgoo. The homemade biscuits are the accompaniment. Thick, tasty,... More

The food here is well prepared and I would recommend the grilled cheese which has cheese not only inside it, but outside it. The waitstaff are friendly without being intrusive and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

This is such a great place! Really amazing atmosphere, well situated and great service! I had the Mac & cheese and it was so delicious! Really! And my mom had a salmon sandwich and loved it! Great wine too! Highly recommended!

Booked a group from Montreal, read the good reviews on the web and really really discovered good yummy food. Ambiance is great and will try to stop by next time i'm in town.

Now contrasting my Torafuku experience was the very easy welcoming service at Burgoo. In the past I've had some pretty uneven receptions here but their staff was uniformly great on this occasion and their food awesome. Love their grilled cheese and tomato soup. My son's raved on his crab bisque. What's it take to enjoy a meal out? Food is... More

Burgoo is the perfect place for a relaxed evening with great food and a fun atmosphere . Started with corn nibbles and salmon cakes. Then had the seriously good chicken sandwich with a rich and creamy southwest corn chowder. Many people around us opted for the tomato soup and grilled cheese which are apparently house specialties. Everyone seemed to be... More

My Wife and I went there for Saturday brunch with my Daughter and Son in Law, it was 2:00 PM and my Daughter and I were both hungry following a run/ride and my son in law is permanently hungry so looking around the restaurant I was pleased to see that the offerings appeared to be generous, I was not disappointed.... I have been to this restaurant a number of times (a few different locations even). Obviously there is something about it to keep drawing me back! I need to come back even more often to branch out of my grilled cheese and soup order that I get... almost. every. time. It may sound boring, but it is just because it... More

Staying in South Main

Neighborhood Profile
South Main
South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new pop-up and foodie trend, SoMa is on the rise.
