If the other four are as good as the Main Street location, you'll be well satisfied with any of them. There were three of us, and we ordered a veggie sandwich with salad, Eggs Ratatouille, and a Shepherd's Pie. All were excellent, served by a friendly and efficient server, and in a unique surrounding that looked like it might have... More

We enjoy this place every time we go here but get there early as there is usually a line up to get in. Our favorite we order every time is fonduemental to share and it is eaten up to the last drop, chicken Itza soup that is just enough to warm you up, french onion soup that is very cheesy... More

The food was delicious, the appy could use some spice. We had Tuna - poke - was a nice treat. The chicken sandwich was good. The Kentucky burgoo - stew was delicious - ordered pita with it - was plenty and tasty. We would recommend this place for lunch or dinner. They have drink specials. The waiter was very friendly... If you can't find anything inspiring in this menu, you must be from another planet. Extensive, wholesome food to please every taste. We opted for the classics, Mac and cheese and Shepherds pie.WOW both were excellent. It's the first time I have had Mac in about 10 years and I know I will be disappointed next time, this set the... Came here for brunch. Small brunch menu, I'm led to believe this is a better establishment for lunch meals. Our friends are frequent visitors to this resteraunt and the waitress recognised them. Adam and I (Jo) ordered a potato hash bake (think scrambled eggs on top or a bed of potatoes in a hot pot with hot sauce throughout). The... More

The ambiance is kind of interesting, fun, a place you want to go every now and then; the food is tasty and interesting, something for anybody. So this could be a really cool place. But they are just a tad on the miserable side with proportions. Guacamole dip was very nice but it looked like somebody individually counted the nachos... More

Bit pricey for just sandwichs and soup. But its worth for 1st timer. 17$ for soup and sandwich isn't the cheapest meal. I had the crab bisque anddos diabalo. Brie foundue was good

I'm not sure how to categorize this restaurant but it has good food. We were there when it opened at 11:00 AM for brunch. We started on the patio but for us - mostly seniors- the traffic was too noisy for easy conversation. After they moved us indoors it was much better but at times still a distraction. Although we... As a regular of this Burgoo and its other Vancouver locations, I have to admit this Main St location is my favorite. Excellent location, easy parking, large patio, and the friendly service I've come to expect. Everyone will tell you to wait the 25 minutes for the custom made to order mac'ncheese. And they are right. You just gotta have... More

Nice little spot. Offer a wide range of options, all looked good. I had the brie fondue which was served with bread, apple and grapes and a kale and quinoa salad. The fondue was delicious! Could almost drink it. The apple and grapes I was hesitant about with cheese, I've never had that combo before but it was delicious. The... More

Staying in South Main

Neighborhood Profile
South Main
South Main, or SoMa, is a neighbourhood in upswing. Inhabited by young humanitarian professionals in converted lofts and studio apartments, what was once an industrial centre is now a wellspring of vintage and eco fashion shops, contemporary sawdust-floor galleries, craft beer joints, and basement acting studios. All set to an Art Deco background with a strong blue collar sensibility underpinning each new pop-up and foodie trend, SoMa is on the rise.
