This ain't no "smashed beans and rice" Mexican food. A casual, somewhat eclectic setting on Davie, a bit away from the madding crowd. Sitting at the bar, we met Ashley who gave spot on recommendations and prepared drinks quickly and efficiently, yet still managed to be very personable with the customers. The chips and guacamole were excellent, as was the... More

hadn't been here for quite awhile, so while in town for a medical appointment and after a stop along the way in a lovely sunny spring eve we stopped here for a bite to eat. 7:00 and a table available right by the window which was great as i find the room a bit dark on a sunny eve. leaving... More

While dark and small, the quality of the food and the friendly and helpful staff make a very pleasant evening out. Limited, but very satisfying menu, with options for many tastes. I had their fresh chips, salsa and guacamole, chicken taco and beef & chorizo taco. All great.

This was my fifth visit to LOLITA'S. Always great food, great service in a warm cozy atmosphere. Love the home made high quality food, anything on the menu, tacos, burrito, chile relenio, home made salsa and tortilla chips warm to the table. I am a non drinker and there were great non alcohol drink options. Surprise birthday cake and wishes... More

Just dined there last night - they have a brand new menu with awesome food. I'd recommend going here for a first date or girls night out. It's a cool, funky vibe with great food & service :)!

A small but cozy and atmospheric place at the quite end of busy Davies Street. Good cocktails, and excellent tasty food. Lots of tacos, but also cheese and tomato-based dishes, and good steak, seafood - including salmon ceviche. Good fun place for a couple or small group. Though later in the evening not bad if your a single cause you... More

I used to love Lolita's and I would recommend it to friends and family regularly. Not anymore. The quality of food has dropped drastically and the new staff is borderline rude and unprofessional. Dishes that were tasty and hot and made with care are now bland cold and sloppy. The old staff members were always friendly and happy and they... More

Good food in a funky little place. It was packed on a Wednesday night which is always a good sign. Service was outstanding considering how busy it was but the portions were a bit small. Still, I'd go again for the great cocktails if nothing else.

We had a very mediocre dinner at Lolita's. This is not real Mexican food. It is a sort of in between Mexican and Tex-mex. Guacamole order came with refried beans. Never heard of that combo. More beans than guacamole. Food in general was nothing special. It does make me wonder, given the reviews here, if the cook had a bad... More

An interesting little place. Good margaritas and very tasty food. The cerviche is wonderful in particular.

Staying in Davie Village

Neighborhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
