So good. Well priced and the folks working there are really friendly. Very happy every time I go, which is often! Highly recommend. Very good for vegetarians as well.

try to get to town at least 2-3 times per summer to walk the seawall to English Bay and stop here for a Shawarma. They are the best anywhere and a great value. Took a couple of our friends this time and they loved as well....brought back memories for him, as he has worked in the Middle East in the... More

Great for getting carry outs to go to the park or beach a block away. Good food, fast service. There seem to be a few Mediterranean spots in the area but this one seems to do the most business from what we could tell. Recommend.

Picked up some chicken and lamb shawarmas for the fireworks in the Bay. Very good food, and pretty quick. The spicy sauce is awesome. Skip the fries.

Nothing spectacular about this place like previous reviews, but still good food. Fresh veggies and nicley seasoned meat.

The food in this cafe was great and the taste also is fantastic , if you like to taste the Iraqi shawarma you should visit this nice small cafe .

I ordered a simple 'chicken w/ falafel' from the wrap menu ($8.95) plus a side of fries ($3.99). After waiting for 8 minutes, watching 10 others behind me in line get their food, I inquired. They told me that I could only get fries with a chicken wrap, not a chicken w/ falafel wrap, even though these are the same... More

I took a walk from my hotel in downtown Vancouver and stumbled upon Babylon Cafe. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma wrap. It had the perfect blend of spices and the chicken was tender. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick meal

If you're strolling around downtown Vancouver, be sure to stop by the Babylon Cafe! I've eaten plenty of falafel, hummus and tabbouleh before but none like this. My husband got chicken shawarma and he really enjoyed it as well.

Denman is a cool street in Vancouver with some great places to eat. This is one of them. If you have nice enough weather enjoy your food while sitting at their outside tables and people watch. Otherwise you will have some great take out food to take to the nearby beach. Yum!

Thank Codiak!

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
