Stopped by with a friend on our way out to an event on Granville. Basically a cocktail bar, minimal food menu to pick from. Nice to sit by a window, decor is nicely done! Friend had Arancini for $6, and Bruschette- olives and parmesan for $5. I tried the Crispy Fingerling Potatoes $7. Everything was tasty - would have been... More

Located in heart of downtown Vancouver, is a very welcoming place, offering a pleasant experience. Staff was very friendly and promptly. A little bit pricey for wine, with a short selection, but it was worth every sip.

It was a bit of a rainy afternoon, and we had wandered into the area, so jumped into Uva for a glass of wine to wait out the shower. But then we saw the small plates menu. So we ordered a bit of food... which was brilliantly plated and totally tasty. So we ordered more wine, and some more food...... More

The bar does not look so great from outside, but the bartender/mixologist is amazing and super friendly. I had a Cricket Old Fashion cocktail, it was very well prepared and the taste was strong and flavourful. Go for pre-dinner cocktails !

We perused the menu, and while my friend just ended up with wine, I selected a fizzy gin cocktail. It may have taken about 10 minutes to make, but it was a pleasure to watch our bartender dance and sway to gather the fixings and add just a dropper or two to what would become a particularly tasty concoction! Very... More

Great place for drinks and small bites to absorb the alcohol. I love their sandwich board with clever remarks to draw in customers. I am a repeat customer. It can get really busy here.

2-6 pm Daily At the former Dufferin Hotel (now called the Moda Hotel) kitty corner to the Orpheus. Still gritty. Somewhat gentrified. Now more cocktail bar than pub. Charming and gracious barlady. She came over with the code to their wifi. But the ladies room was somewhere down a scary flight of stairs. They feature $1/ oyster. It's pricey for... More

We stayed at Moda and we were excited to try Uva. We found they have average drinks and rude servers. We tried twice thinking we might of had a bad draw. Sadly we got the same rude treatment the second time the minute we sat down. Our group walked out and won't be back.

We were staying next door in the Moda Hotel, so couldn't help but walk in and have a drink. We came in around happy hour time, so the place was lively with many customers and still able to find a table by the window. The bar was full, yet several tables scattered that were open. We had beer and tequila.... More

Staying in Granville Street

Neighborhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
