If you love great music in a small venue with an cozy atmosphere this is the place for you. Wednesday night Dennis the owner sings with his rockabilly band. Amazing music. The food is southern classic and well done.

Everything is legit here. The cocktails are great and the service very accommodating. The New Orleans food seemed pretty authentic. There was live music the night we were there - not spectacular but it made the place a bit more lively.

Like a classic cocktail lounge from the days of yore. Live piano was being played as we sat by the window to people watch. A black and white movie was projected above our heads into the old brick wall. The service was prompt and attentive. I had the classic Boston Whiskey Sour that was presented nicely with the bitters on... More

My sister and I went here during our weekend in Vancouver. We were looking for a little live music and good drinks but didn't want the clubbing scene or grunge-style sound. The music was perfect with a blues/jazz group. We were greeted at the door by the owner who seated us immediately. Our seats were perfect for listening and being... More

Great place to celebrate a birthday with friends or go solo, they make you feel welcome here. We had a great time dancing to local band Kelly Haigh with Do-Rites plus guests! They play every Sunday evening. Snapper dinner was great too! Will definitely go back and highly recommend it.

We went here twice. The first time we sat at the bar and the bar tender made our concoctions in front of us which was pure entertainment and delicious. There were piano players that night and people danced, good spirits. The second night we went it was much busier and we sat upstairs at a table and just had a... More

After trying to get in on other occasions when in the area this time we made a reservation on the phone only to be told when confirming it a week or two later that the you can only make online reservations?? Luckily we could still get a table for 6. We arrived at the appointed time and there was no... More

I went to the Revel Room for the first time on Dec 23rd. I understand that it was the day before Christmas Eve and people want to close up so they can go home and start enjoying their holiday, but that doesn't excuse the terrible service I received while there. Our server hardly made any trips to our table, and... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighborhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
