One of the best fish and chips in town. I usually visit this hidden gem when I'm in town, I've been coming to this place for years. I tried both the cod and halibut fish and chips, they are both super fresh and delicious. Come early or you will be waiting in line as this is a very popular place... More

What a sweet find! We were checking out Fisherman's Wharf before heading to Granville Market and saw this place packed with people. It's a little shop with a great eating view. You place your order at one side, then wait for your name to be called and pick up your order on the other side. We happened to speak to... More

There is a line up most of the day. We have always loved the halibut and that was what we ordered. A perfect place to relax and have some great Fish & Chips especially on a warm and sunny day. The fish is always moist and tender and the batter crispy! Within easy walking distance to the Granville Island, so... More

We have used this venue often as a causal place to get halibut and chips before walking around Granville Island, or heading west to the Maritime Museum.

I read about this place on line and knew I needed to visit. They're famous for fish tacos, but they also serve grilled fish over a salad of local greens, and it is... ecstasy for serious fish lovers. I had the grilled ahi tuna - perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and inexpensive as these things go. If I lived in Vancouver... More

Excellent lunch stop. Flavorful. Crazy busy but worth the stop. Line ups are insane for a reason. West Coast rustic place for lunch at its best. Rain or shine, this place is a winner.

A very popular seafood joint offers simple but delicious menu of fans 'n' chips & tacos. I never miss visiting the joint during my visit to Vancouver along the sea front. Fish is fresh as they "go fishing" on Monday to serve it all week!

For a cantine type restaurant very good food. Three of us took one piece each of salmon fish and chips with fries cooked to perfection. Expect a bit of a line up and not too fancy seating arrangements...but you will be eating right on the waterfront so worth it.

Small kiosk on the walkway along the shore, near to Granville area, this place serves excellent fish and chips and we enjoyed also a very good tuna sandwich. Simple, efficient, great quality, surely a stop to not miss while walking around!

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighborhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
