On our short trip, we tried to visit the cafe three times. First, we arrived too late - it closes at 6:00. The next day we came around 1:00 but could not find parking, so we gave up and went on our way. Parking in Fulford is definitely a challenge. The same day about 5:00, we tried again, were able... I happened to drop in to this really funky bakery n bookstore while waiting for the ferry. I had already had a snack so didn't partake of any of their offerings. It's really quite attractively decorated & presented and I spent some time enjoying and reading quotes on the walls, admiring the layout, the bookstore and island-ambience. Part of the... More

I was just draw to this place immediately as it is an amazing building with so much character without knowing that I would be greeted with a full vegan menu that would make my heart sing!! So many mouth watering options and made with so much care and they all (I came back a couple times) tasted as good as... More

I have never left a negative review of any business on trip advisor but I need to for this place. We had a lovely trip to Saltspring but all we could talk about was "The Angry Vegan cafe". This is coming from someone who has been a vegan for many years but was a bit confused by the choices on... More

My wife and I recently ate here while waiting to catch the ferry back to the mainland after a holiday weekend. Probably a lot of their business are people like us. I can't tell what we ordered to eat... I left that to my wife but it was a sandwich of some sort. I am not a vegetarian, vegan or... More

The outside of this creative cafe definitely drew us in. You can tell the entire place was created with love and care. Once walking inside, the smell was so healthy and comforting, I knew I had to order something even though I wasn't even hungry. I ordered an americano and was prepared one of the most delicious beverages made with... More

There must be a hump running down the middle of North America. The hippies on the east of the divide tumble into Ashville, North Carolina. Those on the west end up in Salt Spring and The Morningside must surely be their Mecca. It has a wonderful selection of books as well being a vegan eatery. We didn't eat there, though... More

We went for coffees at Morningside, and had the most uncomfortable experience of our trip on Salt Spring. We did not feel welcome. The cafe was not busy at the time, but we felt that we were greatly inconveniencing the owner. We left feeling bad energy and being very out of place afterwards. If you are looking for quality food... More
