This is one of those places that has changed hands several times. Now it is a great place for breakfast. It's a little noisy and hectic because it is very busy (a good sign) with a delightful menu - lots of smoothies and healthy stuff on the menu. Loved my granola. Others at my table raved about the oatmeal and... More

Ganges is a favorite destination when I am sailing in the Gulf Islands, and Barb's is my favorite destination in Ganges. The bakery and restaurant offer extensive choices for breakfast and lunch, and the service is friendly, prompt and a great source of what to do on Saltspring Island

I loved this dog-friendly restaurant with charming and fast service. The food was amazing. I had the ahi tuna with soba noodles and roasted cashews. Delish! Taryn, my cheery server, was the best and made me feel like I came there everyday. Some dogs are roaming free on the deck so I had mine in a dog stroller.

We've been here nearly every 3rd day for either a baked goodie (the cinnamon & ginger buns are delish), a loaf of sandwich bread (seed or sourdough) or breakfast. Darn good choice - whatever you do!

Busy, always and closes way too early in the afternoon. Best clam chowder makes a perfect lunch. Don't be late or it will sell out!

The bread and baked goods are so good. Great place to eat. The restaurant is big and they have an outdoor patio.

I went to Barb's for lunch on the first day of my vacation and the food was so good I went back four days in a row. Their sandwiches and salads are really tasty. The Bistro has less of a touristy feel than many other restaurants. You can actually see many year round Saltspringers eating there which is always a... More

Standard fare, cooked well. Service a bit hit and miss. The bread from the adjoining bakery is excellent (probably the best on island). Bathrooms are adequate but could do with more of them (there are often people waiting).

I was on Salt Spring for four days. I kept returning here for lunch each day because I could be sure of a good meal.

This coffee shop/restaurant is extremely popular with tourists and locals alike. It is decent but somewhat overrated. By 3pm they had run out of most of their baked goods unfortunately. Had some cookies and clam chowder which were good. Biggest selling feature in the summer is their large patio space for people watching.
