Smiles was the talk of the town back in the day and the place itself hasn't changed much. The staff was friendly and the food was ok. I had the fish and chips which was good. If you are looking for nostalgia this is the place. It does have a lot of seafood items on the menu so it is... More

We had lunch there...service was good but the food was just average. Likely won't go back. It was nice and clean

We ordered shrimp starter and fish and chips for dinner. Both meals were fantastic. Pictures on the wall show the history in the area.

Located in Cow Bay, the restaurant has fantastic views but only a couple of tables to enjoy it from. Good service but food was not special.

I first went to Smiles in the 1950's and thought it was the best restaurant ever. Fresh halibut and chips, even halibut cheeks! It's still a favourite of many but I find it a little greasy these days. I love it more for the memories.

I didn't order fish here as I'd eaten fish several times in previous days. The veal was a frozen 'plank' from a supermarket cabinet and the mash was similar. All covered with thick tasteless gravy. Should have complained but the waitress was nice and her English wasn't good. To make it worse, this very poor meal was grossly overpriced. Decor... More

While this is not as fresh as dollies, the food is good and you get plenty of it. The waistband has a heavy accent and is a bit difficult to understand.

Nothing to rave about. Did get a salad with the fish n chips. Yes expensive for the quality. No personal service, just served me while directing people to tables and money for others meals. Is this efficiency but not good customer politeness.

Since my last review of a few months ago, we've been here several times -- mostly for dinner; however, just last week we finally made it in for breakfast. The breakfast menu is simple -- not too complicated -- and has many traditional favourities like pancakes, waffles, omelettes and various delightful side dishes. I ordered the french toast with peaches... More

We overlooked the bay and had a great combo fish lunch. The waitress was excellent and prices were very good
