If you're only skimming reviews take away this, I've traveled most of the world and the food Benjamin prepares is among the best. Walla's is a very small bistro in an off-the-beaten-path area of Penticton. It's not the easiest to find. Once there you'll see maybe 5 tables stuffed into a very tiny dining space. You'll be greeted by Ben... More

I recently stumbled upon Walla Foods and was blown away by the experience. The dining area is quite small but cozy and the overall presentation is homey but the food is OUTSTANDING! Trust a stranger.. if you want a quiet Mediterranean dining experience this is the best food you'll find in the Okanagan. Everything is made in house from the... More

My wife had noticed this small cafe tucked away in the interior of an old building called the Cannery which has been chopped into a variety of commercial outlets from cafes to theatres. She wanted to try it for lunch - I was less enthusiastic but willing to go. Boy was I wrong! We had a "peasant soup" that was... More

Recently I had an opportunity to visit Walla many years later after my first visit. To my delight I found the quality just as high as I remembered, if not better. I had several meals at Walla; the soup was exceptional, bread was in a class of its own. Interestingly, normally I can not eat bread, but to my pleasant... More

While visiting Penticton we had the chance to visit Walla twice. I felt like I left Canada and landed in a cafe in Paris. The coffee is great, the food and pastries are even better. The food is made fresh with love and the best ingredients. I loved everything we tried from the Mushroom Ragout Sandwich, to the French Toast... More

I have eaten here three times this past week and have not been to Walla for a few years since I live out of Penticton now. The food quality is amazing to this day. For $20 dollars two can eat for a king and queen with left overs for dinner :) My partner and I enjoyed the mushroom ragout sandwich,... More

No, it is not a snazzy or fashionable place, neither is the location in The Cannery one of the towns foremost addresses, but if you value healthy baked goods, prepared in the traditional, healthy way or enjoy breads, which have substance, it is the place to get to know. I am personally plagued by gluten intolerance and was resigned to... More

Here you will find down home service, food with an Israeli influence, food that I haven't found anywhere else. I just had to try it especially when my interest was peaked by the reviews that are here. The Israeli tuna sandwich, well presented, large enough for two, the coffee, good. All came with a bonus, on leaving, I found a... More
