As usual, I had one piece of Halibut with a side of chips. Halibut was very good as we're the fries. I would have given 5 Stars except I find their Malt Vinegar somewhat 'watered-down' for lack of better words. Other places I have gone to and enjoyed Fish 'n Chips, their Malt Vinegar seems a bit more potent! Good... More

We have been using Cockney Kings Fish & Chips for all our fish and chip needs. The food is great, service is great and the atmosphere is great! Definitely recommend!

Used to be the best fish and chips in the lower mainland. However, when I went for lunch a couple of weeks ago, the fish did not taste fresh; rather it had an "undertaste" of oysters that was off-putting. I mentioned this to the server and she acknowledged that oysters can be fried in the same oil. Knowing that, I... More

This place is such a gem. The lineup is not surprising, and neither is the fact that a lot of people seemed to be regulars. I got the oyster platter, and he got the haddock and chips and they were both excellent. Batter was great, portions are huge, and they even have some beer on tap now. I saw on... More

Sooo good!! Fish was lightly battered and fresh. Absolutely yummy. The chips were tasty as well. The menu reflects a true English restaurant, serving all items one is craving. The waitresses were friendly and food service was quite quick considering how busy it was.

The reason I am hesitant to share how good this place is, is because there are already line-ups some nights with the wait being quite lengthy. This is traditional fish and chips with a few other contemporary choices. Just really good food at reasonable prices and the staff is always friendly and efficient.

My buddy and I went here for lunch and enjoyed the large serving of fish and fries. Nice relaxing atmosphere after work and they have a nice outdoor eatery to sit and enjoy the sunrays

I stop by this place almost every time I pass through New West. It's been a going concern since before I can remember -- The food prices have crept up over the decades, but that's to be expected. However, the quality of what they serve remains unchanged. I remember their old ancient dive cafe space and much prefer their new... More

Don't get me wrong, you are probably not going to go here for a romantic dinner and most of my times I have stopped in for a quick lunch. Traditional fresh fish and chips + other great offerings. Always friendly staff and a nice wave from the cooks when you leave.

We ate here this evening - it was reassuringly busy, and the quality of the food referred to in previous reviews was superb. Small plates which had 1 piece of fish and a portion of chips were plenty for a hearty appetite, and the freshness of the fish was just what you expect being so close to the coast. Mushy... More
