Really enjoyed dinner here. My partner had a pork schnitzel and I had chicken. Both were tender and tasty, and the sides were also perfectly done. Selections of wine by the glass were very limited however. Server was very attentive and personable. We enjoyed the authentic European atmosphere. Only disappointment was there was no veal. On our recent trip to... More

Wanted to go to a restaurant specializing in schnitzel so decided on The Old Bavaria Haus. They have an extensive menu and a great variety of schnitzels. Finally decided on the sampler plate which had schnitzel, bratwurst, rouladen, red cabbage and spaetzle. Everything was delicious and came piping hot. The servings were very generous. Decided to treat ourselves to dessert... More

Our first visit, both of us were very satisfied with a greats meals. The Schnitzel and Beef Rouladen were just like homemade and perfectly prepared, out server was great. Excellent selection of wines and German beer on tap. Top off with Strudel and Creme Caramel. Two very satisfied customers, make reservation, place down also stairs and upstairs was full when... Recently attended a group meal about 60 other people. The service was friendly and timely, the food hot and as ordered. I'm of Bavarian heritage, and this restaurant's offering is as good as it gets short of visiting that part of Germany!

Really love this location as it is easy to reach by skytrain. you can go to the new west boardwalk after your meal to walk it off. For 15 bucks, you can get good bread with garlic butter, soup or salad, pasta, ice cream and coffee. You can't beat that price. My friends and I had seafood fettuccine, red curry... More

I booked the restaurant for our 32 wedding anniversary, thought we would go and have a nice meal and reminisce. I was so disappointing!!!! We had reservations for 7:00 p.m; when we arrived the restaurant was full, I thought great, always a good sign. It went down from there! The waiter came over and said "oh it's your anniversary", we... More

Went here for Father's Day, had reservations. Food was wonderful, very busy - but servers were very attentive. 6 in our party . . loved the food and atmosphere. Parking behind the restaurant and also on the street . . after 8pm, you don't need to plug the meter. Desserts were amazing - share Apple Schnitzel and Red Forrest Cake... More

We joined friends for a special dinner in a centrally located heritage home that has been busy serving up traditional German homestyle cuisine for many years. A cozy old world style Bavarian setting that is busy and reminiscent of the family dining room. Very generous portions of tasty pork and chicken schnitzel, rouladen, bratwurst, & goulash. Today it is very... More

This place is like a time warp back to old style cooking and service and I mean that as a compliment. The food is always reliable and the service is perfect. The setting is a little taste of Bavaria and what dining used to be like before fast food. You won't be disappointed.

Went to the Old Bavaria Haus for dinner with some friends and it instantly turned into a favorite. Their warm hospitality and fantastic food was definitely something that won me over.
