Nothing fancy but it is good value, decent service and quick with the food. Its dated inside but for what it is, its fine.

We had dinner and breakfast here. It is located next to the Harbor Light Motel. Both meals were adequate and not expensive. The menu is large enough to provide something for everyone. It is a place where the locals frequent.

I don't really expect much from a diner like MGM. I just wanted a decent, basic "hangover cure" breakfast for cheap. But the coffee was so weak it was like drinking water, my pancakes were undercooked and doughy, and my boyfriend got shrivelled up, wrinkly dry sausages. I didn't finish my pancakes because they were so gross, but I didn't... More

We had breakfast there and the food was good. The service was prompt and friendly. She was also helpful when it came to telling us places to visit in the area.

Food was basic mess -hall type dinners. Ordered marinated roast pork. Served dried out overcooked pork floating in greasy gravy. Had to ask twice for potatoe toppings. Dessert was a slice of banana cream pie. Delivered to table still frozen. Music consisted of a seniors jazz band that would have been more at home playing in the local senior centers.

Bland food, lousy service, and attitude will be sure I will never go back. Way better places in Nanaimo to eat!

Visited today with my family. Good service, the guy gave the kids some colouring, the waitress refilled my coffee cup. A 'typical' diner with all the trimmings you would expect of such an establishment. Good wholesome food, good portions at good prices. We went in hungry and came out satisfied. The eggs benny was good

Having experienced the MGM several times now I’ve come to the following conclusion. Yes it is cheap eats. The service staff is friendly and helpful all though a little stretched when the restaurant is full. Breakfast is a good deal and diner is, what appears to be for the most part, something frozen in a bag and heated for your... More

I ordered a mushroom burger with fries from the menu and asked to add a small caesar salad as indicated on the menu for $2.95. I order a beer at that point and another one later during the meal. When I got the check the burger was correctly priced and the beer was $ 3.50. However they forgot to charge... More

Well you will immediately realize this restaurant is geared to the older generation. Not necessarily a bad thing. But you better like Organ music, people trying to lean how to dance. 5 of us for early dinner, menu has a good selection of meal choices. Mom had to send meatloaf dinner back , came cold, they just "Nuked" it came... More
