We stopped in for Falafel and coffee, but we've had better (for example across the street at the Thirsty Camel (now closed or moved)). The tabouli was wilted, watery and unimpressive. Seems like it was days old though the tomatoes were crisp. The Falafel was not crispy, and the tahini was over saturated with lemon. We were assured the mulligatawny... More

Mediterranean menu. Many vegetarian choices. Always tasty. Pot of lentil soup is always on the stove. Service is friendly. Downtown Nanaimo location. Parking on the street nearby is usually available.

A dining experience which stimulates all your senses. A tantalizing meal, served in a warm space, filled with midle eastern music. What a wonderful escape.

If you are in Nanaimo, you have to have lunch here. It is a simple colorful cafe, excellent service, and great food. The menu caters to vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. The food is plentiful and full of flavour. It is a fun place.

Dropped in to Aladdins for lunch after hearing very good things about it. Unfortunately, we had one hit and one definite miss. I had a beef and lamb donaire with tzatziki and it was very good but my husband's falafel was hard and burnt-tasting on the outside and mushy inside. He didn't enjoy it at all.

Personally I love this little restraint. It is very small, and definitely a small business. For me that just makes it better. It's a little local gem where a lot of locals eat at and the staff take the time to make it personal. The theme is super cheesy and I couldn't love it more, all the hanging lanterns and... More

I ordered food for pick up from Aladdins due to the great reviews and our love of Mediterranean and middle eastern food. While the food I picked up was excellent (tasty, great portions), it was a pretty frantic and cramped environment as I waited for the food to be ready. I was a little annoyed that I had to go...
