I've been coming here for years! I meet up with friends in Red Deer because it is 1/2 way between 2 major centres in Alberta. And the first evening it's a tradition to enjoy a meal at Las Palmeras! Very generous portions of fresh and authentic Mexican cuisine. Always friendly and efficient service. Lots of room for large groups, but... More

Honestly do people think this is good Mexican food? It was horrible! I ordered Carnitas, they served me a friggin pork chop they can't make salsa with out cilantro ? Why because it comes out of a jar? And why can't you get a stirred margarita ? I have eaten and enjoyed Mexican food in Mexico , the United States... More

Three of us visited this restaurant for supper. The restaurant is a fair size and the parking outside - well, let's just say we did not have an issue finding a spot close by. We were seated quickly and our orders taken. It took quite some time for our orders to come. I ordered the beef fajitas. When I received... More

Family went to Las Palmeras restaurant for dinner. It was pretty busy but we were seated pretty quickly. The service was great and the food and drinks excellent. Reasonable prices and very authentic Mexican food. We will be back. Recommended.

This is our favorite restaurant, the atmosphere and service are incredible. The food is the best Mexican food north of the Rio Grande. Also their in-house pineapple habenaro sauce is superb, but you had better like spicy as it has a kick.

I took some family from Ontario that spend their winters in South Texas on the Mexican border. I think that qualifies them as authorities on this type of food. They were really impressed. The food is properly presented as well which not all restaurants can do. I had the shrimp quesadilla and it was excellent. I am sure they home... More
